    I don't know about Fister. The Angels are just as desperate for pitching as the Twins, and they didn't want to call him up. Sounds like he's just washed up.

    Concur. He's one of the few RPs left that has upside to be a good RP in the MLB.

    Man, I didn't realize Rosario was that much of a liability out there in LF... He didn't provide positive value in the field last season either. Goes to show if you have one good year in the field, your reputation masks the real story.

    If anything, it reaffirms to me that Rosario is a very capable 4th OF, but not a starting corner OF for a contending team. This will most likely be his last full season as a starter if the Twins are serious about contending next year.

    And really, he can't be much worse than Belisle. I'd also take a flyer on him for the rest of the season.

    Considering the lack of talent being called up to the MLB from Rochester, there should be a lot of fat to trim on the team.

    Yeah I agree... Other than Mauer and Sano, who were the cream of the crop elite prospects, I can't think of other prospects in this organization who have immediate MLB success from AA. Gordon is good and could be great, but he's not an ELITE prospect IMO.

    A trade like that also has a good chance of blowing up in the Twins' face setting them back to a 90 loss team again.

    I can see where that person from the Twins is coming from. They feel they found a diamond in the rough and want to keep it close to the vest. From a fan's perspective your idea sounds like a lot of fun.

    I agree with your original response to me that it's hard to pump up the draft when most players are 3-5 years away. Perhaps there's an opportunity for an organization like BA to record these players at least doing some drills so they can have some analysis between each pick. I did enjoy their coverage of the 1st round where they interviewed prospects and had a little video of them. Just wish they would have kept it going past the 1st round/comp picks.

    In fairness, I doubt Goodell knows many names either. I do like the speed of the MLB draft compared to the NFL. But overall NFL blows the MLB out of the water with their analysis and breakdowns of every player while it's going on.
