  1. A Sunday matinee lineup results in a season defining win. You love to see it! Now a week at home to keep piling up the wins.
  2. Hopefully people are taking time to enjoy Carlos Correa on this team while they’re mentally shipping him out of town by July. Goodness gracious. This team is a lot of fun.
  3. I find this whole situation to be not a big deal. In fact, I think this is a great problem to have. No one realistically thought Lewis was an MLB option preseason, and now he’s a part of the conversation after an 11 game sample size. Until a roster move is made such as DFA’ing Urshela or Gordon, there’s not much to be done about it.
  4. Big fan. Thanks!
  5. I suppose. I’ll call you out the next time you write more than a nonchalant response the next we lose.
  6. That should be celebrated, no? With more than a passing comment of good job?
  7. Sorted by fWAR on FanGraphs. Fun fact, 14 catchers are hitting above .250 and only 1 hitting above .300 this season.
  8. What do you mean? Everyone in the lineup contributed at least a hit or a run today. I’ve seen you write paragraphs in losses and controversies. This was a great win! Turn that frown upside down!
  9. Dropping in to say I enjoy the jab at SkorNorth in the OP. They’re a group of hacks that manufacture outrage and ridiculous takes.
  10. On to the next series. The Guardians are going to be without 90% of their coaching staff. I see good things ahead.
  11. Did people forget that the Twins were almost a 90 loss team last year? Now we’re entitled enough to define being real only if they beat the Dodgers and Yankees?
  12. Yes the Twins are for real. The Astros are the last tough team we’ll play in May. Then the rest of the month is full of potential wins against the weak division opponents. All I ask is to ride out the season with Correa, and pray to the baseball gods to give us 110 healthy Buxton games.
  13. Let’s keep the good vibes going in Tampa! It’s nice to see the offense starting to click and pitching is still holding strong!
  14. Last night’s blunder by the Tigers is exactly why Correa blew a gasket at Gary Sanchez for throwing the ball to 3rd base in the rundown last week.
  15. How many times do you need to see him break down injured as a starter before coming to the dark side of Duran being a kick ass reliever?
  16. You’re free to jump on the Duran fireman bandwagon anytime.
  17. I have zero interest in Duran starting any time in the future or now. He’s a stud, late inning reliever. I want him in the most important spots late in games.
  18. My public school math isn’t as good as it used to be but I think there are about 37,000 pitchers on St Paul’s roster right now. So probably not.
  19. As the Common Man on KFAN would say, if you can’t be historically good, be biblically bad.
  20. 3rd time being shut out already. Hovering around .500 at the end of the month is starting to look like a pipe dream. This is not good at all.
  21. I’m 100% with you Nick. I don’t think you’ll find anyone who will disagree with you. I won’t go as far as saying DFA him, yet. But it’s clear for the immediate/short term he can’t be relied upon in high leverage appearances. If his FB has lost all effectiveness, his time will be limited in Minnesota and MLB.
  22. As we’ve seen time and time again, relievers are the most fickle position in baseball. Their fall from grace happens in an instant because they are the kings of SSS. Duffey’s been losing FB velocity gradually since his peak in 2019. Showing that he’s entirely hittable without 94 MPH gas. Duffey takes the heat tonight, rightfully so. However, lost in this recap is Archer melting down, only to be saved by Joe Smith getting out his 2nd bases loaded jam in recent days. It sure would be nice to see Joe Smith complete a full inning sometime. Perhaps allowing him to throw double digit pitches in an outing.
  23. If this is the type of content you want to give front page access to and promote on your social media channels, more power to you. I see the replies already on Twitter. Low effort articles will result in low effort, snark replies. The same direction Buzzfeed took and the reason for their decline. I’ve said my piece about this particular author in the Questions section of Twins Daily. There are better authors to support on this site and I won’t contribute to this particular one moving forward. Thanks for your reply.
  24. It’s sad you feel like this is good content. Twins Daily is inching closer and closer to being Buzzfeed.
  25. I’m thankful the T-Wolves and Wild are good so I’m not fully immersed in the Twins’ season yet. I’m quite confident Correa, Buxton, and Polanco will turn it up sooner than later. But this team is relying on others like Sano, Kepler, and Sanchez who aren’t good players anymore.
