  1. One day the 2024 - ? Minnesota Twins will be the subject in an MBA course “How to Ruin Your Brand in 6 months” The Pohlads are getting exactly what they deserve. Right sizing payroll was an all time backfire strategy, then they took the short term Bally Sports cash when they knew full well that a majority of fans were going to be blacked out of TV coverage in 2024.
  2. I could see Correa lifting the NTC to join a contending team more than Buxton. I’ll take Buxton at his word that he wants to be a Twin for his whole career. Correa on the other hand was more than willing to leave in free agency until 2 failed physicals forced him back to the Twins.
  3. As Twins fans we have become accustomed to watching bad baseball over the last 15 years. I can tolerate it if we’re using the time wisely on young talent. The problem is this team is not young. We’re allocating 2/3rds of the lineup to guys that are 27-29 years old and still trying to establish themselves 3-5 years into their careers. For the past 2+ seasons it feels like our FO is at a loss what to do and keeps running it back with the same players. They got rug pulled by the Pohlads after 2023, but they still have options to shuffle this deck of players. Falvey has chosen to stand pat and hope for a mediocre 85 win season.
  4. You mean a Rockies pitcher can field a ground ball and throw it to first base without a catastrophic error? What a crazy concept
  5. The Twins are the 27th ranked team in watchability, according to the analytics. So we got that going for us. https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/44629277/mlb-2025-rankings-most-fun-teams-watch-dodgers-red-sox-phillies-cubs-padres
  6. Tonight was a crappy night to be at Target Field. Real attendance was less than 5k
  7. Sorry you made the trip up here to sit in this crap weather. Wednesday’s afternoon matinee will be the best day to be at the stadium this week
  8. Agreed. I’m on board that Rocco is done here, probably pretty soon. But I’m not thrilled with Tingler pulling double duty, or raiding our farm system for an interim manager. We’re not gonna look outside for a new voice anytime in 2025. At this point I’m ready for things to get as bad as possible so we can do a clean sweep. New ownership, new FO, new manager, new philosophy.
  9. Realistically, the Pohlads aren’t paying 2 manager salaries. Not when they’re this far in the red on their debts. So is Tingler wearing the hat of manager and bench coach any better?
  10. Atlanta Braves fans have described their own team as lifeless without an identity. I have a strange feeling they’re going to find some life playing against the Twins later this week.
  11. I can see it… 5-12 record after today. Curtains getting ready to be pulled on the season. We’re going to see a lot of AAAA filler this year
  12. It’s been extremely fortunate that both of our catchers have been healthy for the last 2 seasons. Can’t imagine that luck will continue in the future.
  13. This could very well be the week that buries the Twins for the rest of the season. Then the conversation switches to who can we possibly trade away at the deadline
  14. These examples are why I roll my eyes when Falvey is discussed in such high regard on this website. So much talk about him developing this pitching pipeline (after 9 years!) but you look around the league and literally every team is calling up players that can throw 95+ MPH.
  15. I had it mixed up. 9 total starts not 9 total innings. Good call
  16. Also LaMonte Wade, who’s still kicking it with San Francisco for a broken reliever Shaun Anderson
  17. That’s not even Falvey’s greatest hits of bad trades. 9 total innings of Tyler Mahle has to be #1.
  18. I legitimately lost track of Celestino so that is funny he’s there out of all places
  19. The Astros were able to get 6 good seasons out of Pressly AND move on before we get 1 good year out of Alcala. That reminds me, where is Celestino these days?
  20. Another rough night for the Alcalaholics
  21. Nobody else I’d rather have up in this situation than Christian Vazquez
  22. 5 and fly for Ryan. He did his job, now we see if Topa can handle the 6th
