    Problem occurs when you need a 13-man pitching staff ((8) bullpen) and 3-man bench. If Vargas is your backup DH, your bench has (1) infield utility guy; (1) backup catcher (who can't be used as PH without an emergency catcher on the roster); and Vargas.

If it happens, I will be flabbergasted!

    Russell Martin, Jorge Posada (a former second baseman), Geovany Soto (third base), Michael Barrett (third base) and Paul Lo Duca (first base/third base). Buster Posey was a shortstop as a freshman at Florida State before being converted.

    It is important to succeed at AAA BEFORE he faces MLB pitching because CONFIDENCE IS MORE IMPORTANT than MLB reps, which if not successful can destroy his confidence....ie. HicksI and Hicks2.

    What is the backstory on Christian Cavaness of the GCL Twins? He was NOT drafted, but was signed by the Twins after the draft. He has started out with a (small sample) OPS of 1.200. Is he a prospect? Is he a player? Is he a JAG? (just a guy)

    "Why Weren't The Twins Pitchers More Aggressive?" When an army is out-gunned, aggressiveness can lead to defeat, disaster and annihilation. Pitchers are similar. When you don't have enough stuff, you don't attack!

    Hildenberger's numbers are almost ridiculous. If you had chosen anyone else, this post would have certainly violated some length restrictions. You have done an excellent job..........almost as good as Hildenberger!

    The conversion is possible. IMO, The success of the conversion is unlikely if not delusional.

    If you think Hicks will hit right-handed-pitchers better from the right side, you are delusional. He may be a better hitter from the right side, but that is against LEFT-HANDED pitching. When right handed pitchers alternate fast-balls under your chin, with unreachable breaking balls away, hitting becomes exponentially more difficult for the right-hand hitter.
