I thought I heard on the pre-game show that Morneau was pencilled in at 1st base yesterday, but moved to DH because of foot pain. In any case, trading Morneau at this point would be a bad decision. It appears he is finally getting his head straight.
Hughes at 1st Tonight. Morneau gets the night off against CC. 1. Denard Span, CF 2. Jamey Carroll, SS 3. Joe Mauer, DH 4. Josh Willingham, LF 5. Ryan Doumit, C 6. Danny Valencia, 3B 7. Trevor Plouffe, RF 8. Luke Hughes, 1B 9. Alexi Casilla, 2B
Doesn't roll off the tongue like "The House that Ruth Built", but how about we christian Target Field "The House that Willingham Moved Into and Found To Be To His Liking".
I would say that I am an 8 on the Twins fan scale (as well as the attractiveness scale). I rarely miss a game, though I admit missing quite a few towards the end of last season. I've had 20 game packages the last two seasons, but gave them up this season for a variety of reasons including my wife being out of work for the last two years and scheduling conflicts with my son's baseball season. I am not always in lock-step with moves made by the Twins front office (why resign Capps?), however I do realize that there are smarter baseball minds than mine at work there. I believe that the Twins rolled the dice and blew their wad on Mauer (in hindsight a mistake, but imagine the uproar had they let him go). Unless he steps up and delivers, the Twins are going to be mediocre at best and will be handcuffed for the next few years until the farm system can provide some cheap talent. During that period I will take what we get and hope for the best. Ranting and raving and making up nasty names for management and players is stupid and childish; also a waste of time. Relax and see what happens or find something more enjoyable to occupy your time.
Hooray for non-drinking, non-smoking, non-druggy intellectuals who can throw the hell out of the ball. CJ Wilson is just the sort of d-bag the Twins need.
Manny Ramierez - now ther's a d-bag who I would never care to see in a Twins uniform.
I'd take AJ back in a heartbeat too.

We're only three games in, fellas. Cheer up. Send positive energy to the Twin's bats.
Souhan seems to rewrite the same dozen or so articles every season. I read and subscribed to Mackey on Twitter for a while last season. I grew very tired of his immaturity - He argues like my 15 year old son. I like LEN3 and Joe C, they seem to know what they are talking about, but I still do not get the insight that I get from Seth, Nick, Gleeman, etc. Most Strib articles are written for the casual fan/reader. I really enjoy the new Twins Daily site. Except for a couple perpetually negative contributors - it is always a pleasure to read.
Lighten up, my friend, the Millers are an important part of Minnesota baseball history. Their success has a lot to do with the awarding of a MLB franchise to the Twin Cities. It does make sense to honor that team too.
