  1. Twins make bad decision to put Sano in RF. He shouldn't be in RF. So now, instead of focusing on that, we should focus on how he it's really bad he didn't lose weight to try and make that ridiculous decision somewhat better? He should have lost some weight for sure, but the problem is the decision to move a guy his size to the OF to begin with (especially since he's never played there). Also, the AL has a DH (as we all know). He should DH, regardless of how the team feels about putting a young guy there. No matter where Sano plays, he'll be a detriment on defense, so let him hit.
  2. 'Eddie Rosario: Best Player on the Twins?' No, but fun to watch.
  3. Yeah, not agreeing with the way a young guy is getting trashed by some media members and fans hardly equates to 'completely missing the point'.
  4. Pujols was an awesome player. One of my favorites.
  5. They are pitching as if it was already 2 months in.
  6. Thank you! While I agree he should have gotten in a bit better shape (maybe lose 20 LB, which isn't hard to do in 5 months), some of these comments are over the top. On top of that, a lot of this falls on the Twins for asking a guy that big to play OF to begin with (and not do so in the minors for a couple years, but in the majors right away). Makes me sad how some can be so ruthless with the players who play the game we love (on the team we love), but defend the people who make some curious decisions so much. This may end up being our best player for years and years. I wish him the best!
  7. Quick question. If you chose to meet a Twins fan in DC at a bar or something, if they yelled out 'Markos' when first showing up, would you reply 'Polo' so they knew you were there:-)
  8. When fake hell freezes over? :-)
  9. plenty of quality in the Netflix shows. they are rockin the superhero genre
  10. I think we all hope for nothing but the best for him since he has inexplicably been put back in the rotation. One can look at how he's done for us so far and say, um, he's done pretty poorly. Oh, and I'm of the opinion that moving May to the bullpen instead of, say, Pelfrey could very well have ended up being the difference between making that playoffs and not.
  11. In the 5 games Nolasco 'won' , the Twins offense scored 5, 6, 6, 8 and 7 runs. He went 6 or more innings in only one of those games.
  12. Based on your post, is it your contention that the strongest AL teams reside in the AL Central?
  13. Nolasco was 17th in the NL for IP in 2013, not 2nd, and his ERA- was 101. So, 1 percent below league average. In the NL.
  14. Obviously I am in the minority, but I liked Batman V Superman.
  15. He's trying to learn a completely new position and do it at the major league level. He could have started learning his new spot early in the offseason and STILL be well behind the learning curve. An extra two weeks is nothing, and when he messes up out there it will be because the FO decided to take a 260 pound career IF and shove him in the OF, not because he missed a couple more weeks of practice.
  16. Winfield was about 50 pounds lighter than Sano
  17. I loved Watchmen
  18. 36 G, 35 GS, 5.64 ERA, ERA+: 70, 196 IP, 150Ks, 1.553 WHIP, 11.6 hits/9IP. Does less than impressive 20 IP in ST (sometimes against minor leaguers) erase the last two years of that?
  19. And Ryan, the GM, sets the 25 man roster, not Molitor, the Manager. He said what he said about Duffy and then backed off of that statement. And as far as blaming anyone, it's just the way it is. Not sure I blamed anyone for anything. Berrios never had a chance, May certainly never did ,and Duffey was behind the vets.
  20. I'm not sure that this team has the quality of players where one could have such high expectations they would be considered busts if they perform poorly. Sano has high expectations. Some have high expectations for Buxton for this year. Maybe Gibson? Hear a lot of people talking about him taking the next step.
  21. Was there ever a doubt Nolasco would get the job? The people who will make the rotation are exactly the ones you'd have figured would be put there. Mediocre veterans beat young guys with potential every time.
  22. That's my issue with always using the line, he's a decent back of rotation pitcher. A team should only be allowed to use that excuse for keeping a pitcher in the rotation twice a year :-) It's right up there with he's okay as a 9 spot hitter. Remember how long we said that for awhile? Problem is, only one guy can start in the 9 spot per game :-)
