    Grossman nightmare tonight: He lets a ball get by him, goes to get it but kicks it, picks it up but the ball slips out of his hand, then for some unsightly reason he thinks there are three outs and he tosses the ball to a fan in the stands. Then he wakes up and says oh thank god only 2 of those things really happened to me I must still be a member of The Twins.

    I would like to know which team specifically is looking to upgrade at second base. Can anyone supply this information? Perhaps here or on a separate thread. Regarding the Dodgers, Chase Utley turns 39 in December, and he hasn't been a star offense player since 2009 when he was 30, and apparently his defense has slipped below average this year as well, and of course he is a free agent at the end of this - probably things everyone knew but me! Well, it's also interesting to note that Dozier will turn 30 in May of 2017, so a GM has to wonder when his decline begins.

    I talked to a friend in San Francisco last night and he asked if I was still following the Twins. I said I was and he said why? I said you have that even year thing going and he said it was like a curse that should be broken. I think they're losing their pep out there.

    I don't agree that they "messed up" his position in the minors. The organization cleared decided he was a second baseman and NOT a shortstop, so second base is where he played every single inning at AAA. Their expectation clearly was/is to trade Dozier ... or perhaps trade Polanco. The mess seems to come about if they can't pull the trigger on trading either one of them. Then you have a guy who can't reliably play short playing short (or so it seems to me!).
