  1. Don't look now, but somebody has 2 closers.
  2. Happy dog day everyone! Here are my dog breed associations for the starting nine Buxton: Greyhound Dozier: English bulldog Mauer: Yellow lab Sano: Bloodhound Plouffe: Huskie Rosario: Terrier Escobar: Pointer Herrmann: Beagle Robinson: Golden retriever
  3. Fire Andy MacPhail!
  4. Winning percentage in the Buxton / Sano era: 1.000
  5. That's how you close a 1-run win. Nice outing by Jepsen.
  6. I love listening to TK when he's in the booth. Not the classic broadcaster's voice, but so much knowledge and insight.
  7. I'm excited to see Berrios in the majors. But the question is, how many innings do you have him throw this year? His character and talent are not things to gamble with.
  8. Show of hands. Who had Zuke as the winning run?
  9. Like "One of Britain's loudest bands"? http://turninguptheawesome.files.wordpress.com/2011/11/spinal-tap-11.jpg
  10. you never expect a base hit from a 3x batting champ. That's how they trick you.
  11. Bottom 8: K, 1B, BB, Dong. Book it.
  12. This is my new favourite fact. I'm late to the party, but glad I showed up. Bless you D.H.
  13. Harris pitched ambidextrously in one game for the Expos (Sept. 29, 1995; the penultimate game of his career) against the Reds. He faced 2 batters as a righty, and two as a lefty (right, left, left, right. 1 IP, 0R, 1BB [left-handed]). Prior to that, you have to go back a ways. Tony Mullane (1881-1894) is an interesting figure in the history of baseball, and considered the most accomplished switch pitcher.
  14. I'm cheering for him to go 18-6. Yay!
  15. That's the spirit! But I think the Royals might be better than you give them credit for. They were in the World Series last year.
  16. He's done. Trade him to the angels for an autographed Mike Trout baseball.
  17. And also some capital letters.
  18. I heard Molitor didn't like what he did with the prequels. Something about "ruining his childhood".
