  1. The Twins could lose 60 games this year, and it would still be one of the three most successful regular seasons in franchise history, so with money on the line, I’d like this to be one of those 60. I think everyone on the board can agree that my personal pride and financials are what’s most important here.
  2. Wins/Quality Starts is a category. No Dodgers win means no Glasnow win.
  3. As a Glasnow and Ohtani owner in my dynasty money league, I hope Glasnow is indeed not a cure to k problems. Here's hoping for something like a 10-8 Dodgers win with the Twins bats coming on late, leading to some momentum for tomorrow.
  4. Yup. If you've already been converted to a single-inning reliever at Low A, you're probably best served to figure out what you're going to do after baseball, and figure it out fast.
  5. It's an interesting move by Houston, and one I don't quite understand. From what I read, Houston has already stated they are going to let Diggs test FA after this year, so they essentially gave up a second rounder in next year's draft for one year of Diggs. For a team that only has a couple more cheap years of Stroud left, I would think the priority would be building up the organizational depth, not acquiring a guy who probably won't be on the team at this time next year. Especially given the depth of receivers in this draft class, Houston would probably be better served to use their extra second in 2025 to move back into the first this year, or to have just not done the trade with the Vikes at all. In essence, Houston moved back 19 spots in this year's draft (from 23 to 42) in order to get 1 year of Diggs. If he is rejuvenated and on his best behavior, that might be a win. If he's cooked, and upset that he's the 4th or 5th option on offense, this might be a massive mistake.
  6. You are absolutely correct on the strike 3 part; borderline pitches cannot be passively watched with 2 strikes. If there are not 2 strikes, I would much rather Julien simply look at pitches he doesn’t like; worst case it’s a called strike, best case it’s a ball. If he attempts to foul it off, best case it’s a strike, worst case it’s a soft hit out. Sure, maybe he’ll run into the odd duck snort or swinging bunt base hit, but that will be rare. Not offering at pitches he doesn’t like with 0 or 1 strikes is a far preferable approach to attempting to foul them off.
  7. Falvey in the booth opines that a lot of guys in the Twins lineup are starting to click right now. So I guess Falvey has missed every game so far this season, other than the 7th inning yesterday?
  8. Because when balls in play are falling, it's hard to stop an offense. Eventually CLE will hit a time when the balls aren't falling, and their offense will look pathetic.
  9. I like patience in a hitter. I do not like passivity. Unfortunately, Julien is trending more towards the latter than the former.
  10. You get paid more on TV than radio, I reckon. Accordingly, Provus probably wants to cross over at some point, and the longer you keep Bremer around, the more likely you are to lose Provus. It's the same as trading Polanco so you can make Julien the starting second baseman.
  11. Broadcast shows Kepler has 22 homeruns against Cleveland. What they didn't mention is that 23 of those were in one game against Trevor Bauer.
  12. Provus--"That one got Nailor". Come on Cory, it's "Nailor got nailed". Can't miss a layup like that.
  13. I absolutely would have bet on AK being the first Twins player this year with multiple triples. Free money.
  14. Way too passive with 2 strikes. Can't let borderline pitches go with 2 strikes.
  15. Also, there are as many hitters under a .400 OPS as there are over an .800 OPS. Not ideal.
  16. Morneau--"Hopefully this offense is in a rhythm now after playing a few days in a row" They've played 2 days in a row Mornie. Two.
  17. Provus--"Kwan not just hitting for average, but some power! He has a homerun already"
  18. They announced it on the broadcast, that is indeed the number. $125/year for Bremer's 40 years.
  19. The Pohlads seem to be gradually turning into A's ownership (my favorite "the A's are cheap story"--when Miguel Cabrera's retirement tour went to Oakland, the A's gave him an $80 bottle of wine. Cringe given that it was only $80, but more so because Cabrera is a recovering alcoholic). Anyways, is it possible the non-Twins portion of the Pohlad's portfolio is bleeding money, forcing the Pohlads to tighten their belts? As I understand it, their businesses are private, so bad results there would be easy to hide.
  20. Based on the results so far today, he might be #2.
  21. You are in luck! It's available for purchase!
  22. And that shape would be...spherical?
