  1. . We have no #4 hitter, nor #1, #3, etc!
  2. . Horse? I know what subliminal advertising is. I never believed in it! But I also never believed I would own a horse!
  3. my 90 yr old dad tripped over the curb in front of the local PaPa Murphy's, and did a face plant on their sidewalk. To their credit, they offered him a large pie with all the toppings! Be declined, it seems he had lost his appetite!
  4. . There are a million ways to go with this, but I am trying to keep my warning points below Brian's posting numbers!
  5. I am pleased to tune in, and see that the conversation is at a far higher plane than last nights! While I know it would be a surprise to some, I have extremely high standards and was appalled by the tenor of the thread last night. Admittedly the Twins defense was disgusting, but there was no reason whatsoever to so openly discuss it, as there might have been ladies and small children watching! Btw, i did find the discussions about urinal etiquette hilarious!! .
  6. . True, but it's an out, pitching from the stretch unnecessarily, and if the replay I saw was the correct one, the wild pitch was a ball right in front of Kurt, that went right through his wickets. Kurt just plain fanned on it. While it's true that Gibson should have been able to miss a few bats to help out his defense, we keep those guys in the minors. In the majors we like to have our pitchers be able to pitch to contact when base runners clog the base paths! (I will now deduct 2 points from my snarky allotment for the week).
  7. . I mostly agree, and would normally not sit someone for that. But even being an Oswaldo backer, he is pushing the limits of patience here. A message could have been given by sitting him after the inning. And comments after the game should have been muted. I think he actually try's hard, but I also think he seems slightly full of himself.
  8. I read somewhere that Molitor is a big fan of Hermann's. If this is what's keeping Pinto down on the farm, that is troubling. I still think that they could have kept Pinto here, this was just a convenient excuse. You could even keep Hermann, drop Nunez, and let Escobar do all the fill in starts, even in LF. This might bring up the dreaded 3 headed catcher issue again, except Hermann can play other places, kinda. As for the roster, I hated almost every decision made. But it is what it is, and I would rather they let this play out longer. Yes there are a few spots you could tweak, but this is MLB version of the Titanic. And the roster decisions were the iceberg! (Hmm, too hyperbolic?) Look at the bright side, maybe, just maybe, an off the charts season start will show ownership and the FO exactly how bad attendance and apathy can get. While it's unlikely they would get it, it's probably this years Twins fans bersion of "hope"!
  9. . Concur!
  10. . As would Oswaldos Mohawk, Dozier's Doo, and Hunters toothy grin! . Also, I am with Bark on the Duck Dynasty issue. But the subject begs a question. If your beard gets hit by an inside fastball is it a HBP? And if the ball gets lost in there, do all the runners get two bases??
  11. . Now you ruined it! It was unwritten for all these years, and now you went and writ it!
  12. . Things must be different in ND? Here it is not only priceless, it's also a felony!
  13. I don't know who threw where, but anything above the waist is in poor form!
  14. Please tell me that is NOT Brian and Chi Town in that opening pic!! .
  15. That's what the 4th catcher is for, silly!
  16. Leave him at SS here. You have to find out if he can play the position in the majors. He has no future in the OF, except as a utility player. If you are serious about improving your defense to win this year then get a real CF here. But all that would be is a charade!
  17. I waffled on Mauer, but did not think his effort on the ball yesterday, or the high throw tag the other day was adequate. Plus I read where most or all of his errors are in like the last 38 games? He could have easily been deleted from the list of miscreants, but I admit I was in an expansive mood!
  18. I must have missed the Twins focus on playing strong defense? (Snarky, sorry). After you replace Arcia, Nunez, Hunter, Hermann and Schafer, then you can consider Santana. Along with him don't forget Suzuki and Mauer. Santana went out and played CF last year, mediocre as it were, quietly and dreadfully out of position. He needs a chance to succeed at SS. If he can you have a SS. If he can't, you can plug replacement level Esobar back in. If this team cannot spend some time auditioning a player, which team could?
  19. I did n I did not know there was a limit? You have me concerned. I was going to,like your post, but now am going to wait to see if there is one more deserving of me!
  20. . Concur. He can go back to the outfield or utility player anytime, but if you are going to see if he is your future shortstop, now is the time. By next year you need a plan, who goes where, and stick with it. Or else the Twins will be in this morass forever.
