  1. Brian should have been in So MN today. When I went into my shop, wherein a standup freezer and stand up fridge are located I found the door was left ajar on the former. So there would have been an excellent selection of freshly thawed culinary delights too numerous to eat. He could have feasted, at least for the day. Our nearby living daughter was delighted, she got to cancel grocery shopping, but the garbage man will unfortunately be having hernia surgery at the end of the month!
  2. At the local convenience stores they have excellent pre made pizzas on cardboard! (The cardboard is the one on the bottom). I generally put it in that boxy thingy under the stove top, and set it for like 550. I used to do it at 450, but found it took almost 10 min! Who has that much time to spend cooking!
  3. That's normally when I enjoy my colon also!
  4. I am fully aware of that. But he sets the tone, and his brief history is not to pinch hit. Plus I would have no doubt there would have to be "little birdies" telling the bench coaches what to do.
  5. Molitor did not lose this game. Nothing extremely weird was done or not done. NY can hit, and finally started hitting. And as Perk has said in the past, sometimes it just won't go as well as others. About a third of the way into the season, he had a few games in a row where every ball hit was a rocket, and they were all at someone. These weren't. The only consistent qualm I have with Molitor is his seeming disregard of pinch hitting. It doesn't seem to matter who is on the bench, or what the situation. He seems a firm believer if you are in the lineup, you are going to hit when it's your turn. There were several options to PH Mauer in the eighth. One of them should have been used.
  6. There was some discussion on his ankle not being fully healed? I think this was Ryan to Bernadino.
  7. I would not be able to remember which tier it was in? So where do I put the password for "Realasianmodelsthatwamttomeetme.com"?
  8. Reg Henry of the Pittsburg paper (post gazette)? wrote a column recently on passwords Brian might appreciate. OR, he could have been writing about Brian?
  9. If this continues, and Trout and Albert do virtually nothing, and we still lose 3 games, that would be hard to explain.
  10. It's a well known fact that between HR Oswaldo strikes out too often.
  11. Maybe they are returning to the level which their underlying numbers suggest. Overall the offense is a serious problem. Relying on a 22? yr old with 11 games under his belt, to carry you is not a good idea. Plouffe is streaky, and Mauer is not normally a "get on my back" kind of guy. The last four games Dozier has seen the new reality. Few fastballs, none up high unless a mistake, and a preponderance of breaking balls away. He currently is the straw that stirs the drink, and if he doesn't adjust to this, the offense is going to be pretty poor. Will, or can he adjust? Oddly, allowing as to how poorly they have played defense lately, this is a team that seems to prefer defense to offense. Or claims to? The Arcias, Vargas's, ABW, and even Pinto when healthy have been sent off to learn how not to strike out. Strikeouts go with power hitters, but that doesn't seem an accepted fact here. It's generally been the Twins way, strikeouts are not good. Apparently that includes our pitching staff also!
  12. The problem with the Twins picking up a rent a reliever or stick or SS or catcher is that there are too many holes to fill with rent a players. There are two choices here. You can accept the fact that this is a nice, fairly decent team with lots of room to grow, or you can ruin its future by rolling the dice and trying to spot fill some positions for a playoff run this year. We have tried the 32 yr old declining vet route for several years now. I have seen enough of it.
  13. Tip for Brian. Hand wash your finest linens and delicate unmentionables in the sink!
  14. it would make no difference, they would vote it down.
  15. When I think of the Angels I think of Gene Autrey. When I think of Autrey, I think of Trigger. When I think of Trigger, I think of Hannah's horse. And when I think of Hannah's horse, I think of Hannah! Fortunately I do not think out loud!
  16. They are saving him for tight, high leverage situations! Like last ni.......... Whoops! Never Mind!
  17. Your BEST hitters are not necessarily in a game. Maybe a starters day off? Or a hit first, glove second guy. And why the aversion to using a bench guy to pinch hit? Its what a bench guy should be there for. Not just a place to store 4 players contented to give high 5's, smile, and collect MLB meal money. When you have 13 pitchers and an unused bench, it seems that you are tying one hand behind your own back.
  18. The bench is not an impressive lot. But even at that why did Nunez not bat for Suzuki late last night. Either Molitor does not trust his bench at all, or he has an aversion to PH. I think it might be the latter, as he has passed on some seemingly pretty obvious opportunities.
  19. And therein lies the SS dilemma. Santana misses what appear to be simple plays, but can make that play. EE is more solid, but can't make the "great" play.
  20. This could explain why I was in the third grade for several years. My mom always told me it was because the teacher liked me so much!
  21. I might add, that any male making a comment on his significant others ability to make a tasty treat actually taste like the aforementioned square miles of finely ground rock, will have his post copied and forwarded to the aggrieved.
  22. This is a perfect example of why spell check is an insidious device. I have let my usual nimble brain atrophy to the point where I can't tell a tasty treat from square miles of finely ground rock! I yearn for the bygone days of yesteryear, when men were men, and women were women, and Bigfoot was Sasquatch, and the Webster was law! .
  23. Whenever we split desert at home, my dad made one cut it and the other got first choice! It guaranteed accuracy by the cutter. But what surprises me is Brian's wife lets him play with sharp objects? . BTW, if I were you I would not be so easily dismissing Bigfoot. Have you saw what he does to those people that do in the Jack Links commercials? So if you have two of the big guys, are they Bigfoots? Or Bigfeet?
