  1. I am watching this on TiVo. It appears both teams are taking a mental day off!
  2. Dick and Roy are explaining it to us now.
  3. One night I came home, stone sober BTW, and in the dark, got undressed, and rolled into bed. Unfortunately my wife had rearranged the bedroom furniture, and all I hit was the floor. She was still laughing at 4 am.
  4. Luckily we did not think like that about Dozier, and Plouffe, and Hunter. Or else Rochester would be undefeated!
  5. I really like the Bucs corner IF defense!
  6. Hicks is a cautionary tale for those giving up on Santan, Vargas, Arcia, etc
  7. I agree. This looked a little like a Gardy move. Let the veteran have a shot at the W.
  8. Pelf was only 2 outs away from a quality start. It's a shame, Bert would have not been here to witness it.
  9. This inning is going straight up Brian's robe. Here come da judge! Here come da judge!
  10. Someone with a sophomoric was sense of humor would ask, why is he wearing under the kilt? Fortunately I would never stoop to that level.
  11. I know I shouldn't ask this! But what do you wear under that robe?
  12. and in this case not even "The Shadow" knew.
  13. I am not sure that was an obviously wrong call. I am also not sure that it was an obviously correct call. Other than that I am pretty sure.
  14. It's odd when you can't really blame anyone for that play, tough call, tough play, and tough review.
  15. This is going south faster than that flu
  16. And on the replayed Rosario's triple , it would have behooved him to keep the tag on as Rosario overslid. That 3 outs he's handed us.
  17. but my new favorite third baseman dropped it, and tried to give Trevor a chance to behoof it to first in time.
  18. A horse reminds me of Hannah and her horse, but when I think of Hannah, I forget her horse. So it seems a horse reminds me of Hannah. This behooves me to think of horses way more often than I should.
  19. It would behoove us to keep hitting the ball to third...
  20. I find it somewhat disturbing that Brian put a picture of the Mrs. on the top of the Game Thread. While I personally find her extremely attractive, I do think it unwise to post pictures of family members online. There are a lot of weird people out there! Sooner or later one will join TD.
  21. I would too, but Milone is their only LHSP, doubtful he is leaving. I cannot believe Pelfrey has any value. Hunter? I was of the impression he had a no trade? And not only wont they trade him, they are going to extend him, and I bet it's going to be for multiple years!
  22. The Royals are "the now"! The Twins are not. They are the Royals about 4 years ago. It takes patience to stick with a plan, especially when an odd quirk causes thing to look rosier than they are. We spent years building this farm system, let's spend that final year integrating the pieces on the big club!
  23. I too like Segura as a player. But, he has 14 errors, and DanSan has 16, and a trip to Rochester. That's a lot to give up for two errors? Also Tulo' splits away from home are fairly large, and he is no spring chicken. Someone on here mentioned getting Hamels? And making a run at KC? Hmmm. If that's the reason to get him, then I think we might be getting carried away. I know everyone wants to get creative, but there are a lot more holes here than we want to admit. Plugging one is possible, but the best it's going to do is get us to the wild card game, a crap shoot at best. Be patient, sort out the roster through out the year, and post season, and look for help when sanity prevails. I do not want a rent a player, or a declining vet, for any of our prime prospects. Everyone's grass always looks greener on the other side of the foul line.
