  1. Buxton having some tough luck again tonight: xBA of .670, .490 & .490 on his 3 PA's tonight, only 2SF and a force-out to show for them.
  2. Buxton has had at least 3 hits stolen by nice defensive plays the last 2 games. He (used to) taketh away, now his get taken away...
  3. Miranda couldn't field, had zero power, wasn't drawing walks and looked completely lost. He needed a reset.
  4. Finally, a thread about the Arraez trade. I didn't think anybody noticed he wasn't with the team anymore.
  5. Looking at the splits, maybe Ryan should lobby for Jeffers to catch him more often: w/Jeffers - 2.03 ERA, slash-line against .207/.243/.286 (.530 OPS) w/Vazquez - 5.54 ERA, slash-line against ..233/.260/.480 (.740 OPS)
  6. A couple of local kids drafted today https://twitter.com/YouthHockeyHub/status/1674465268565782545 https://mayorsmanor.com/2023/06/la-kings-select-hampton-slukynsky-no-118-what-you-need-to-know/
  7. Doubtful. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2023/06/gio-urshela-unlikely-to-return-in-2023.html
  8. Urshela is out for the year with a broken pelvis.
  9. I also think that Buxton should be placed on the IL immediately and re-evaluated at the All-Star break. Recall Wallner to take his place and play him regularly until the All-Star break. Reverse the catcher splits, Vazquez can still catch Maeda. Team ERA with Jeffers is 3.28, with Vazquez it 3.98. Opponents slash-line with Jeffers is .224/.287/.355 (.642 OPS), with Vazquez its .236/.300/.398 (.698 OPS). Have Polanco use the full rehab, roughly until the All-Star break, to see how his hamstring holds up and see if Julien deserves to stay with the big club (I think Lewis is safe). DFA Kepler and give Larnach every day ABs to see if he can "figure it out" or if he is a AAAA player. There are other moves that need to be made, but I don't think the team has the players to do it. Taylor is not an everyday CF, Castro and Solano are better as bench/role players than as everyday players and the BP needs 1 or 2 more reliable options.
  10. Gallo - 109 OPS+/112 wRC+ Kepler - 84 OPS+/85 wRC+ Gallo willing/able to play RF, CF, LF, 1B & DH Kepler willing to play RF I think I would keep Gallo and DFA/trade Kepler, but Gallo might draw more trade interest.
  11. So now its Correa? It has been, in no particular order, Kepler, Rocco, Pagan, Buxton, Larnach, Popkins, Falvey, Levine, Lopez, Lopez, Solano, Castro, Miranda and the trade of Arraez according to the TD staff and users. At least we know where to start to fix the problem.
  12. All 6. Some pitchers are more comfortable with a certain catcher, just ask Tim McCarver.
  13. Pitcher's choice, Vazquez has caught all of Maeda's starts this year.
  14. Atlanta holding firm on the only facing the line-up twice, kids dealing but just got pulled.
  15. Rosario was let go so that Kirilloff and Larnach could get into the line-up.
  16. Obviously no NHL fans on here..."Byron Buxton out with lower body injury" Health matters are private and don't need to be discussed. Major sporting leagues have injury reports, but I believe that is mostly for the odds-makers in LV.
  17. 5 one-hit innings from the BP, only 2 relievers used, really picked up a bad start and kept the team in the game. Too bad the bats didn't help them out. Julien, Lewis and Kirilloff were a combined 3-8 with 3 BB's and 1 HBP, good to see this out of the younger players. Even Gallo and Taylor were 3-6 with a BB. Correa, Buxton and Kepler however were 1-13 with 2 GIDPs. Ryan serving up 5 HR's in the first 2 innings did not help either. This team can't get out of its own way and it generally starts with the "veteran leadership"
  18. Not when it comes to the never ending whining about Arraez...
  19. Let it go already. Like it or not he's gone and he's not coming back...
  20. Bullpen holding its own tonight, 4 no-hit innings after the Joe Ryan Express derailment...
  21. Saya the guy with the Luis Arraez avatar..... ;
