Not rocket science, but let's get our facts straight. He's made the "qualifying number of plate appearances" 2 of the last 4 years, not 1... 2016 and 2019 (700 and 659, respectively.) He missed by less than 10 PA in 2017 (496 PAs). He's 34, a 4 year contract takes him through his age 37 season. DH is open after this season. There are mild concerns about age, but plenty of players play well into their mid 30s, particularly those with power and plate discipline. And Donaldson has a history of strong durability. You're vastly overstating age concerns.
