  1. Except Lewis is specifically playing other positions currently in St Paul. That was specifically mentioned when he was sent down, and he's played both 3rd and LF since then. Not to mention, if in contention, there's no way they trade Correa. No chance. None.
  2. Bell and Eovaldi would both be very good fits. I think they need bullpen help, but I don't trust Lopez.
  3. Does that include those who judged the trade positively? Does that include you?
  4. Nothing has changed, except an awful trade got even worse. BTW, you forgot to mention the Twins are paying Rogers to pitch for San Diego as a bonus. A team expecting to contend cannot make this deal. There is no value in "potential 2024 starter" to a 2022 team. None. Zero.
  5. A generally accepted rule of thumb is a 75% success rate or better makes the attempts worth it. https://www.mlb.com/glossary/standard-stats/stolen-base-percentage As for HRs, they've been on a gradual and sporadic, but constant, increase for decades (as have Ks). Last year 27 of 30 MLB teams averaged more than 1 HR per game, led by Toronto at 1.62. https://www.teamrankings.com/mlb/stat/home-runs-per-game?date=2008-10-28
  6. Nice blowout win...and Ws have been hard to come by in Oakland for years now. However, Add me to the list of those wondering why Duran couldn't pitch in a tie game last night, but is ok for 23 pitches in said blowout 15 or so hours later.
  7. As for Rocco, he's pretty good. Not as good as I would be, of course. But pretty good. I also think this article's headline would be better if it was 5 words shorter.
  8. I don't think you'd find enough people to derail the thread talking about opera.
  9. Josh Donaldson has a 118 OPS+ so far in 2022. Reports of his demise have been greatly exaggerated.
  10. Nitpic, but the Twins did not leave 16 men on base They left 9. Either way, it's yet another demonstration of why RBI are an incredibly important offensive stat, despite what you read.
  11. Asked and answered.
  12. My thoughts on your little video: "How about I give you a nice paper cut and pour lemon on It?"
  13. If this ends up available in Tucson, I'm in. And ecstatic about it. $160/yr? Well worth it.
  14. Hope he does well. But I hope more strongly Correa heals quickly and is back in a couple weeks.
  15. He didn't get an extra inning from Bundy. He got 2/3rds (at the cost of 3 runs). Again, as is often the case, sticking with a starter too long doesn't "eat innings". The Twins needed a reliever in the 4th despite sending Bundy back out there.
  16. Can something be both delusional and jejune? I'm dazed and perplexed. Befuddled, even.
  17. Pretty ******* fun right now. Tonight's shout out goes to the bullpen, which I complained about all winter, but which has been pretty solid overall.
  18. 36 runs scored in 6 games. At least 5 runs scored in 5 of the 6. That'll work.
  19. Nice series win, and Winder was very impressive. Want to give a shout out to the defense, not just for today, but all year so far. It's been very good, and has been the difference in at least a couple Ws this year.
