  1. Kudos, Mr Ober. Kudos. Really nice job and much needed.
  2. Kepler should've scored twice now
  3. I'm ok with this pitching change
  4. Bryce Harper hitting 3rd....Willi Castro hitting 3rd. Seems fair.
  5. Careful what you ask for. Day-Tway will be a load this weekend.
  6. The computer update has my sprll check on thee frittttz.
  7. Reading further into it, I believe the performance bonuses have also been paid. Something like ~$1.5M at this point
  8. Dunno. My private jet wasn't affected.
  9. We can send Thielbar even if we don't get Paxton.
  10. Concur, if true. I doubt anyone's taking on $4M. On the other hand, spotrac is generally pretty accurate. In any case, he pitched Sunday night so he's not an option for Wednesday. Edit: Rereading the MLBTR article, I don't think he's owed $13M in salary for 2024. Both the $3M signing and $2M roster bonuses have already been paid and aren't "salary." That leaves $7M in salary...the original $4M and another $3M in performancebonuses. About $2.5M remaining.
  11. So now you DON'T like fielding percentage? Your opinion seems to ... vary.
  12. There's no mention of any incentives at spotrac. $4M 2024 salary with a $3M signing bonus. Somebody will claim him, I doubt he gets released. Money is minimal.
  13. Owed less than $3m for the rest of 2024, too. EDIT: Less than that. $3M of his 2024 compensation was a signing bonus. Salary only $4M. About $1.3M left. No 2025 money committed. Well below average numbers, but I'd prefer him to Festa while Paddack is out.
  14. One reason would probably be: he had managed to have waiver wire call up Diego Castillo due up after Castro (who didnt bunt as the first hitter). So he managed himself into a corner where his own substitute made it more difficult to play for one (winning) run. And, true to form, Castillo took three straight fastballs for strikes, without so much as even flinching.
  15. Not useless. Just not as useful or accurate as they used to be, and not the sole measure of defense.
  16. Is it your contention there weren't multiple claims this spring, right here on TD, regarding the Twins having the best bullpen in baseball? Is that your position?
