  1. Multiple folks here Wed that pooh-poohed the idea Rocco did anything even iffy.
  2. Just your thrice weekly reminder: there are no low leverage relievers
  3. Something is broken with Eddie. But that'll do from Santana.
  4. Mrs Chief got a new car recently, and the technology is just too much. I mean, there's a little message on the dash for everything. And you need an index system to know what all these symbols even mean. It's completely out of control. They even have a symbol now for when it's time to pull off the highway for a good long bathroom break.
  5. Do we know Keirsey is a good center fielder?
  6. And which doesn't...can't....depict the strike zone.
  7. A) I don't think there's much evidence pitchers would get injured more. In fact, since I'm repeatedly told the reason pitchers are injured more NOW is they throw harder, perhaps they'd be injured less. Pitchers throw less and less and less, and they get injured at least as much as ever before. I'd argue more now. B) the rules would be the same for everyone. The Twins wouldn't be at any disadvantage. I don't know the answers, if there are any. But I strongly believe current trends on more and more strikeouts, fewer and fewer balls in play, and ever expanding pitching staffs are hurtful to the long term health of the game. I'm glad MLB is at least looking into potential relief. I think SOMEthing needs to change.
  8. Game recap Nitpic: Ober had a rough 1st inning, but did not load the bases twice, nor walk in a run. He did recover and got through six with no more damage though.
  9. People "fan" in different ways. I want the Twins to win. Not gonna sugar coat things I feel make that less likely.
  10. Also should be noted Matt Wallner worked the walk that ended up the winning run. He needs to be in the lineup every day
  11. If folks want negative, go here and read last Friday's doubleheader threads https://www.coveringthecorner.com/
