  1. But 2 years left and now you're second guessing the Twins on Ryan.
  2. Possible. But even if true would have had no impact on what the Twins should have done. And for the record I'd have wanted the Twins to make an effort to sneak into the postseason even IF Ryan had said he was having back issues prior to the deadline.
  3. Is it your contention they knew of an actual injury and sent him to the mound last night? I call BS.
  4. B-. Not bad. Addressed needs, at least marginally. Didn't cost much. Took on salary. Made an effort for a team that, much to the chagrin of many here, actually has a puncher chance at sneaking into the postseason.
  5. Color me skeptical the team knew of an actual injury and still sent him out to the mound last night.
  6. Ownership has a massive, enormous credibility gap with 99 percent of their fan base and potential fan base. Me included. Richly deserved That's your entire point. But sure, he has an easy PR job. That's moronic. You're just blinded by hatred. Nobody has said ownership has earned back trust. Nor have they spent what they should. But there have been positive words, positive moves. The statements above are more positive words. Need followup, for sure But I'm encouraged. Sue me. In the meantime, maybe pull in the constant vitriol for a day or two.
  7. OK, rant away, but you're not getting away with this: "Tom has the easiest PR situation ever right now." Are you kidding me?
  8. Who TF were they going to spend money on in March and April??
  9. Kauffman Stadium is old...1970s, but has gone through a couple renovations including recently Absolutely beautiful
  10. I hate Dobnak with the white hot fury of a thousand supernovas. Come ON!
  11. Indeed. And he definitely hasn't. Unless they're not calling up for reasons other than performance. I don't know that. But it possible. In any case, the offense needs a jolt. A two week hot streak from a phenom isn't unprecedented, and if it doesn't happen, I doubt he'd be worse.than Roden.
  12. Positive signs are positive signs. There's a lot to be done yet from ownership to rebuild any trust. But, coming from a place as down on ownership as I've ever been, I'm encouraged. There's been less than a year of the current managing owner. I like what he's said. I approve of what he could and did accomplish so far. I'm going to give it some time, and in the meantime, appreciate both the unexpected mediocrity and the deadline spend.
  13. Cmon, let's go Can't handle getting ***** slapped again by that no talent hack Dobnak. LFG!!
  14. Maybe by "all over" he meant the Twins were over Neto the way that HS crush of mine let me know she was all over me when she told me it wasnt me, it was her.
  15. This isnt the place for this discussion, but one point: The NFL and NBA seem to be thriving with what you call "socialism." The Geeen Bay Packers are able to compete financially with the LA Rams. The public seems to appreciate some semblance of a level playing field. MLB either follows suit or dies. Simple.
  16. Perhaps true. In fact I'd agree his production doesn't scream promote. But given what the Twins are getting from RF (and maybe Bell) I'd like to see Jenkins up and playing every day. Maybe he's a spark they need. Maybe not. At the least he's a good defender and I doubt will be overwhelmed. What's there to lose? There's an unexpected glimmer of opportunity knocking here. Open the GD door.
  17. Well written @Nick Nelson. And pretty accurate. Also appreciate posting in this forum, vice "Front Page." This is where us rubes hang and post.
  18. Well ****. Now I have to go back and re-examine everything I've said the last couple days. Thanks. Thanks a lot. :)
