"A player maintains MLB rookie eligibility for the Jackie Robinson Rookie of the Year Award unless, in a previous season, they exceed 130 at-bats, 50 innings pitched, or 45 days on an active major league roster (excluding time on the injured list). " If my math is correct they can recall Jenkins Aug 15 and retain ROY eligibility, assuming he stay through the end of the season. Can't confirm for some reason, but I'm pretty sure any postseason time doesn't count against him. Personally I'd hope none of this matters in the least in any decision to add or not add Jenkins.

Confused? I can understand not agreeing with the moves they've made. But what's confusing? They've stated clearly they believe they're in contention for the postseason and made moves to strengthen a clearly weak bullpen. They didn't remove anyone from the 26 man. Seems pretty straightforward.

Very fair. Possibly even true. My issue wirh rebuilds is, there's zero guarantee they work. They sentence you to at least 2 years of suckitude, without any promise of a payoff. In fact, Without doing any research whatsoever, I'd guess given a 3 year time frame, a teardown fails more often than succeeds. But I certainly understand your logic and preference. Mine are just different. I don't think it very likely you can plan a baseball team three years out. Play for today, every day, until today is impossible. Then deal only those players that won't be here next year. Or you're convinced cant help in the future because...well because they're not any good. Your mileage may vary

I need to see Buxton healthy before I worry about any of this. But assuming he is, space isnt an issue. Gray is an obvious roster move, and Roden is an easy one too. Finding ABs for hitters is pretty easy. The problem is finding hitters. If they do call up Jenkins, and Buxton is on the roster, Larnach can get ABs at DH. As can Buxton some days, for that matter. Keaschall isnt someone that needs to be in the lineup every day either. And there's always the chance someone ELSE is injured. Jenkins up and hitting would be a nice problem. Not a guarantee he'll hit, of course.

I have no doubt there were reports of this. From what I can tell, based solely on a single tweet from a questionable source. That report then got retreated and re-reported and suddenly it's true. I also have no doubt Larnach would known this and react. No doubt that Twins mgmt would address it with him. But none of that makes the original tweet true. It seemed pretty clear to me the.past week to 10 days the Twins weren't sellers, they were buying. Zoll told us so, in plain language Dealing Larnach from the roster if you're playing for 2026 doesn't make much sense to me. If there's a video out there of Crane confirming, I haven't seen it but I'd certainly be open to changing my mind if there is.

It's fine to think they should have moved Jeffers. To think they could have sold Jeffers (and Larnach) and been better "now" is some strange logic.
