    Come September, wouldn't mind seeing Kohl Stewart and Tyler Jay get added to the 40-man and get some action in the Twins' bullpen. Find out what we really have in those two. It's time. Also, good to see Tyler Watson rebound after some subpar outings.

    The folks that run the Rochester Red Wings franchise can't be happy with the everyday lineup that gets trotted out there. The Wings' fans either. Lot of career minor leaguers that just can't seem to put anything together to score runs.

    Nick mentions in the article "The complex goes from hosting a half-dozen teams to one – the Single-A Fort Myers Miracle, along with a smattering of young kids and extended spring assignees.". Where do the GCL Twins play? Not in Hammond Stadium but a back field somewhere? Is there one back field that's a cut above all the other practice fields?

    Seth posted this on Twitter tonight. What kind of tightrope do you have to walk in order to have a 0.54 ERA over 33.1 innings with 21 walks? Seems almost impossible even with the low number of hits.

    My guess is if Dozier and/or Escobar are traded, get ready for a whole lot of Gregorio Petit and Taylor Motter.

    I really like Bryan Sammons... glad to see you have him ranked. He's actually having a solid year with Rapids, so surprised to see you dropped him if only 3 spots. K's are down a bit from E-Town last year, sure, but still a nice 3.41 K/BB and a 1.090 WHIP. The one thing he could be dinged for is being about one year in age above MWL average. Would like to see him at Fort Myers to see him challenged age wise. Bechtold has come on quite a bit the last six weeks. Since June 1st he's slashing .289/.392/.397 (.788). K% has come down quite a bit. Walks are up. Obviously the power needs to come but I think it's in there somewhere.

    No doubt the Appy League is not turning out to be that challenging for Jeffers hitting-wise. One thing to keep in mind - if the Twins want to try and have Jeffers stick at catcher (which appears to be the case) he has some work to do defensively. And of course the hitting coach at E-Town is former major league catcher Jeff Reed. Makes some sense to have the two work on that part of Ryan's game for awhile.

    Seen some comments here on about Kirilloff's arm strength, so... I recently posted a question to MLB Pipeline Inbox about the long term defensive fit for the young Twins outfielders Kirilloff, Larnach and Rooker. Here is what they responded with.     Thanks, Tom! Some nice names there. Didn't realize Vasquez and Moran didn't make the consolidated cut. Those are a couple of exciting arms.

    Would it be possible to get an additional post showing each of Tom's, Seth's and Cody's individual top 40 lists so we can do a little side-by-side comparison? Could piece it together, I guess, based on the ranking below the capsules but that seems a little cumbersome for 40 slots. Always find it fun and interesting to see how you guys rank the players differently.

    Personally, I'm not as high on Gordon or Gonsalves as some folks are. I'd have them on this page (6-10) and have Rooker and Larnach on the upcoming page (1-5). I'd go: 7) Gordon 6) Gonsalves 5) Rooker 4) Larnach 3) Kirilloff 2) Graterol 1) Lewis

    Just took a peek at the Florida State League standings. Five of the six teams in the FSL North are above .500 and ALL six teams in the FSL South (which the Miracle compete in) are below .500 in the 2nd half. Talk about imbalance, huh?

    Think Lewis Thorpe has a shot to get assigned to the Arizona Fall League in October? Or will the innings limit catch up to him? Would love to see Thorpe, Tyler Wells, Blankenhorn, Rooker and Arraez head out to the desert and play some fall ball.

    Anybody hear of a timeline for Trevor Larnach and his arrival in Elizabethton? I know he was going to take a few days off after signing and then head to Fort Myers for some orientation. Maybe later this next week?

    Agree that Granite doesn't provide any power, but I think you're short-changing him on his arm. It's fine. Not a Buxton type arm, but who is?

    Too early to give Kirillofff a look in the Arizona Fall League this October? Or is 2019 a better bet? Have a feeling he could handle it.

    Think I have to lean Seth's way on the rankings for Bechtold and Balazovic - both in the 20's somewhere. Balazovic has pitched well for the Kernels save for maybe one bad outing. Like the review said, he has a very live arm with a lot of upside. Bechtold has come on strong lately after the slow start. Believe the power will come eventually. Rocket arm. Like his future.

    Interesting note on Cody Stashak in the Chattanooga game -- in the sixth inning he had four, count 'em four(!), strikeouts thanks to a passed ball on a strike three. Don't see that everyday!

    LaVelle E Neal indicated in his pre-game blog that Kohl Stewart was promoted to Rochester. Haven't been able to verify this anywhere else though. Anyone seen confirmation on this?

    Would love to see what these numbers look like excluding Rosario and Escobar. I bet they WOULD be in the bottom third of the league.
