  1. Zach Neff... a relief guy down in E-Town who's starting to grow on me. Yeah, he's 22 years old as a 31st rounder out of Mississippi State but maybe he can advance fairly quickly, A left-hander too, which can't hurt.
  2. Alex Kirilloff.... 0 for 2... I'd release him. Have enough other newly acquired prospects that can take his place. /sarc
  3. The jump from Cedar Rapids to Fort Myers is proving to be a difficult one for some of the Twins' pitching prospects. Tyler Watson (since returned to the Kernels), Brusdar Graterol and now Bryan Sammons have had a rough go of it with the Miracle after doing well with Cedar Rapids. I guess Graterol did have a soild outing his last time out after struggling in his first few starts. Has this historically been one of the tougher leaps - MWL to FSL - for pitchers in the past?
  4. MLB.com ranks them like this: #11 Jorge Alcala (right behind Thorpe) #14 Gilberto Celestino (right behind Wade) #17 Gabriel Maciel #22 Jhoan Duran Seth also tweeted this today:
  5. I'd like to see another 30 lbs off of Sano by spring training. 250 would be about right.
  6. No doubt that if Taylor Motter was available on the waiver wire when Manny Machado was still out there it would have been a tough choice, right?!
  7. Any word on Randy LeBlanc with the Lookouts? I know he's been out with a flexor mass strain since before Memorial Day. So, I dunno....think he's done for the year or close to coming back?
  8. More likely Duke. Sounds like Boston isn't actively pursuing Dozier at the moment. But maybe the Giants or Indians.
  9. Oh, hearing Giants now too. So that may help the bidding.
  10. So who gets first dibs on the nickname "The Missile" - Gabriel Maciel or international signee Urbina Misael?
  11. Question is, what contenders still are looking for a 2B like Dozier? D-Backs and Milwaukee both solved their keystone corner issues today. Who does that leave...Boston maybe? Not going to get much of a return, I suspect. Doesn't really help that Dozier has played poorly out of the break.
  12. Someone refresh my memory on the Christian Cavaness injury and rehab. Dates back to late last season, correct?
  13. I predict only two trades before the deadline. Duke and Escobar. In August, possibilities with Rodney, Dozier and Lynn.
  14. Agree. Position player rentals won't fetch much in the way of prospects. Machado was the big one and he's gone now. Bullpen guys with controllability is where the real action is...thus Pressly and even Hildy.
  15. Anyone hear anything on this? Serious enough for DL stint? Wonder if this is part of the reason for the promotion of C/1B Ben Rodriguez from Cedar Rapids to Fort Myers.
  16. Just noticed TJ White's name on this lineup and wondered where he ended up. Looks like he's in an independent league in Quebec. Slashing .274/.325/.466 so not bad. Hopefully he can impress and hook up with another minor league organization at some point.
  17. Yep, with a young pitcher like Balazovic a 34 pitch inning will be an automatic pull from the game. Anything 30+ , really. He almost got out of the jam though. Bases loaded single with two outs really hurt. Probably could have continued on otherwise.
  18. Any word on the Trey Cabbage injury? Caught the following tweet from Steve mentioning he crumpled to the ground rounding the first base bag. Hope it's not serious.
  19. In the E-Twins game, you just KNOW that Greenville was watching the deluge of rain approaching in moments and said "Hey, ya know, maybe we should change pitchers.". Classic stall tactic.
  20. Oh ye of little faith in Gregorio Petit and Taylor Motter!
