    I just don't get it. Everyone's been bitching about Suzuki's defense and here he's at the perfect defensive position for him, and there's still bitching. Some people just can't be satisfied.....

    Always interesting to read Molitor's commentary and his honesty. Not sure how much they can do about the pitching. There are veteran contracts involved, a small group of guys that may, at best, be #3 guys. Berrios is a concern, as is Duffey. Oh, and defense. Lot's and lot's of work on defense.

    Dozier: great partial season. Let's see this for a full season Lets see the successes continue in SP and next year Still some concerns about a guy that big playing 3rd. I'd make sure Sano is playing in winter ball. Nice season. Would like to see OBP improvement next year. Berrios and Duffey should both start the season in the bullpen. Come in, start an inning, out in 2. Get them acclimated. Polanco can hit. Like most of the MiLB class that were called up, defense needs improvement. Wondering if he'll be an INF super-sub next year. Hoping this is the last year for some of these guys. Hoping #5 will get them in the starting rotation sometime after the All Star break More power doesn't translate into more success. More power doesn't translate into more success. Nice start to a bullpen, i.e. not overwhelming. No sacred cows in this group 33 and, now, bad legs. Maybe he's getting on base too much We know how "Feel Good" story end up: The End. Sounds like he might make a great coach. I really haven't had much of an issue with Molitor. I just find it kinda odd that you'd hire a 60 year old guy as a 1st time manager for a team that you KNOW will be depending on really young players right now. Really don't understand what happened here. Prayer may help. Yeah, I'll keep watching the Twins games. I love watching the young guys development. Just no more Torii Hunter-types. Please!     The different lineups and positions is just the Twins trying to figure out what they have going into Spring Training 2017. They also need sick notes from all the players parents on days they have to face guys like Kluber. gods he's good..... I believe the Twins will be looking at Polanco being a utility player+ at least for the start of the season. Subbing for Sano, primarily, and Dozier and Escobar less frequently. Beresford at 1st: REALLY didn't see that one coming! Moving away from the lineups, I'd like to see both Berrios and Duffey in the Twins bullpen next season. No real high-pressure situations; start of the inning stuff, like Perkins [ oop ack ]. Get them broken in on MLB hitters.

    Cherry picking using extraordinarily skilled players who have established themselves quickly is a false comparison, IMHO. They are more of an "abnormal" in terms of development. Those guys I listed ARE improving. That is more of the typical of a baseball players progress. Patience is needed, like it or not.

Add Buxton, Sano, Rosario, and Polanco to Max Kepler, and the Twins could have most of a lineup in place." IMHO: the author could have started and stopped right there. There was, for what ever reason, a gap in talent. The Twins plugged those holes with temporary solutions. Those 5 listed above are turning into good looking pro's. Add Dozier to the list and it's a pretty good looking lineup, sans another, younger veteran. Pitching will likely be the main issue, again, next year and maybe/probably the year after.
