  1. Deunsing is throwing gas, all 90 mph of it.
  2. Particularly as Arcia/Willingham/Fuld start to get healthy. Arcia and Willingham both are going to get games as DH, so I think that Cola is a roster squeeze to make room.
  3. Colabello is starting to fall apart, I know this is another thread but he is sent down soon?
  4. Breslow pitching for Boston, it is a Twins double reunion today.
  5. Now Burton on.....say what you will.
  6. The gamecast i am using hasn't updated, was he or was he not picked off?
  7. Seriously?!? Mauer gets picked off first with a runner on 2nd.
  8. I agree, nice wrap around table setter for Mauer and Dozier.
  9. Ortiz is now 0 for 3 with a K. Go Hughes!
  10. The way ESPN's gamecast is reading, Hughes has only thrown fastballs the entire 1st 2 innings, or I am reading it wrong.
  11. Ortiz is 0 for 1 with a pop out. Good start for Hughes!
  12. Ideally they will both have productive and successful careers with the Twins, obviously right now with the SSS of Santana he looks good, however although Hicks has not performed well to this point, he could figure it out and turn into a solid MLB player. Hopefully for both this turns out to be the case.
  13. One of those HRs yesterday he looked like a golf swing and he hit it out to almost straight away center. If there is any person on base, walk him.
  14. I agree with this thought as well. Clearly Meyer is the most important pitching prospect in the short term, so the Twins need to protect him, which in this case, means allowing him to refine/develop this change-up in Rochester.
  15. Hopefully May will continue to pitch well in Rochester and essentially force the Twins hands and make them bring him up instead of Pelf.
  16. I agree completely. If he continues to hit for the rest of the season, then you revisit the idea of an extension in the offseason, otherwise he could get somewhat expensive as you get into arbitration.
  17. Has any announcement been made about how much time he may miss?
  18. Arcia is essentially continuing his rehab by the Twins optioning him to Rochester which can only be good for him. More time to heal in order to be ready when he does come back up later in the season.
  19. Todd Van Steensel, just imagine Bert trying to pronounce this.
  20. Speaking of mastering a level, we know that Buxton dominated High A last year, do his numbers there matter before his promotion to AA or are they just looking for him to look like himself?
  21. I was actually very impressed with the FO for bringing up Santana. Hopefully he continues to play well and stays up.
  22. I agree, look what we heard all year last year with Gibson, he needs to be more consistent, more consistent. Which is likely what the Twins are looking for out of Meyer and also May.
  23. It is just unfathomable that the Twins actually went into the game yesterday with the roster in the shape that it was. They had Nunez on the line-up, even though he was DRIVING there during the game.
