  1. Even if Sano doesn't get any game time in at AFL, at least he will have a full offseason to prepare regularly, not with rehab mixed in. Thus making him full strength and ready to go for 2015 Spring Training.
  2. So does Nunez line mean he will be off the DL when he is eligible?
  3. My question is this, if he hasn't already played his way off the 40 man, what does he have to do to play his way off?
  4. Unfortunately, Santana has been sent to the DL, I honestly think when Plouffe and Nunez come back, you send Florimon back to the minors over Polanco, at least he has a future in the MLB unlike Florimon, the other roster move I have no idea.
  5. So does Polanco get to start today?
  6. At the rate we are going, it is going to be a perfect game sadly.
  7. That's true, apologies to Florimon for the unfair shot about his defense.
  8. Isn't defense supposed to be his strong suit?
  9. Bernardino is reporting now that Pinto is heading to the DL from Rochester, stiff hip.
  10. Great top of the 1st for the Twins, 3 up 3 strikeouts.
  11. I agree I am ready to see Rosario!
  12. Well Riverbrian, USA loses but wins.
  13. Unless the Twins are absolutely certain that Pinto is going to be the everyday starter next year, which at this point I don't the FO is even close to. I think you quietly offer Suzuki a one year extension with a modest raise for his performance so far this year, so there is some stability, especially with how well he and Hughes have worked together so far. Having Suzuki here to help keep Hughes comfortable is an intangible that doesn't show up necessarily on the stat sheet, but is something to definitely be considered when considering trading Suzuki.
  14. I would add Rosario in LF to your list here. Otherwise I agree with your list about players playing at above average level.
  15. This is a great point, it is really helpful to the Twins to have TK and Bert managing, both can help provide insight to their players. Hopefully TK sees what he likes in May and he just stays in Minnesota after the Future's Game.
  16. This is exactly what I was thinking, he needs to spend as much time possible starting. I think I heard somewhere the projected innings limit was around 150 innings. So let him start for 130 to 140 innings then maybe give him another 10 or 20 innings in the MLB bullpen. On another note, what about Rosario? Is it possible the Twins give him the call when they reduce the number of pitchers?
  17. The question is, will Meyer make his Twins debut this season or will he hit his innings limit in Rochester?
  18. I think that Meyer's last few starts indicate that the next pitcher who is going to be up is May. But I agree with your assessment of the situation. It would be nice to keep Deduno for depth however if he is gone oh well.
  19. Hughes and Gibson have both looked like rotation fixtures for the future, Nolasco had a decent start so hopefully this is the start of a solid run, plus the Twins have Meyer, May, Darnell, etc in the high minors and Berrios, Stewart, Thorpe, in the lower minors. Suddenly the Twins organization is looking somewhat flush in pitching, hopefully the team will continue this development.
  20. Is it possible that the Twins DFA Pelfrey in the offseason?
  21. Does anyone know how many pitches May threw? Or does the turn around of Correia mean it is a couple more starts at least before May replaces him?
  22. Agree! Has anyone heard anything about when Buxton might get back on the field?
  23. Does anyone know how his stats look in terms of pitches per inning? I know this isn't a hard and fast stat about wearing down, but I was just curious.
  24. Hey look 2 days in a row, Santana has seen some time at SS and we are playing an actual outfielder in CF.
