  1. I commented on another post about Martin. Martin actually had a good month of July when he went to more of a role player again. He had an OPS of .766 and ave of .250. I am not sure who we have that would perform better than Martin currently.
  2. Then why is most every other organization in baseball in the same situation calling up their top prospects. Why is this organization smarter than everyone else. This argument just does not hold up when looking around baseball.
  3. When is the team going to show a sense of urgency, this offense has been lifeless since the All Star break. You can't keep employing the strategy of hope. Hope that Bell starts to hit home runs after he hit his first one in a month, hope everyone else will start rolling. You have to do something different, will we it. The throw by Kreidler last night is really bugging me, it was the way he did, he didn't look, he just chucked it. I seem to recall Keaschall being sat down after some fielding miscues earlier this season, will Kreidler get the same treatment. Time for reinforcements before they fall too far behind.
  4. Kriedler is not a starting shortstop, Gray has proven he can't produce up here. Culpepper has much more upside, it is worth it to see if he can provide a spark. Because we know Kriedler and Gray won't. That's not trashing, that's facts.
  5. We know you don't want anybody ever to be called up from St. Paul. We should probably go get Arcia or who ever else is on the waiver wire. At least they have proven they won't be successful.
  6. Culpepper needs to be in Milwaukee on Friday night.
  7. Martin actually had a good month of July when he went to more of a role player again. He had an OPS of .766 and ave of .250. Not sure Refsnyder would be a huge upgrade over that.
  8. And this is why we will continue to be a .500 team with half measures.
  9. I have seen the rule of thumb that OPS should be reduced by .150 points from AAA numbers. Well Sabato is at .935 currently, wouldn't that then translate to a .800 OPS up here, asking for a friend.
  10. I am not sure he should be the only analyst, he needs to be a third member. I do like listening to him, but he is going to be even worse than Morneau when it comes to homerism.
  11. Hey we don't need him up here, he would just strike out every at bat.
  12. Jackson is not so important that they have to finesse the roster just to keep him on it. He is a backup catcher who has done well when asked but there are plenty of journeyman catchers that can be signed in the offseason. There is a reason you have 13 position players, you do need a bench to help contribute as well. I do agree Soler is not a fit.
  13. And they pull Rozek after 47 pitches, will they really stretch out Zebby and Rojas down there.
  14. He has mostly been a DH, is Arranda that much better at first.
  15. I am not disputing that he didn't make the throw, but it wasn't like he was in normal fielding position. It wasn't a routine play, but one that needed to be made. But also Witt should never have been at third.
  16. Two since he moved to first, context always helps.
  17. He's a bulk guy, they don't let anybody go over 4 innings down there. Wonder what they will do with Zebby.
  18. The Royce diatribe continues, 5 to 10 comments on a throw that was not an easy throw, one that needs to be made but not a routine throw. And maybe one comment about Kriedler's throw that was unnecessary.
  19. Well yes and no but he is the one who cost us the run and I am seeing more comments blaming Royce.
  20. One was hit right to him, the one tonight he had to come in on. Yes he needed a better throw but it was going to be a tough play for anyone with Witt on third. And Witt wouldn't have been if Kreidler doesn't throw the ball away.
  21. Great play by our defensive stud, should have never thrown the ball especially without looking.
  22. Rookies don't come up and do well, it is against the rules.
  23. If only we had someone in St. Paul that could maybe help and try to spark this offense. Maybe Zoll should spend some time over there this week.
  24. Until they purge this front office starting with Zoll, I don't think we will see one.
