    Meneses at 1B is pretty odd. Has anyone heard what DJ Hicks' situation is/when he'll be back?

    Has anyone looked at what MLB shortstops are hitting these days? Jose Iglesias has the highest OPS of any qualified AL shortshop and it's .768. Next closest is Bogaerts with .734. If Gordon can stick at shortstop, which I think he can, and post a .700-.750 OPS, which I think he can, he'll probably be one of the better shortstops in the AL.

    It will be nice to see Byron get a look at a below average lefty for once. If he looks lost at the plate tonight, I may start to lose hope (for this season, that is). Or, maybe Eduardo Escobar will start in center over him.

    Jacque hit 24+ homers four times. I'm not sure if I could see Rosario doing that. I do think Rosario is a better fielder though. Either way, if your #8 prospect turns into Jacque Jones you're probably in good shape.

    Why the hell is Oliveros starting again for Rochester today? The guy hadn't started a game at any level since 2006 and now he'll be starting his fourth game in a row. Call up a starter from Chattanooga (probably would be Berrios) or move Hamburger or Meyer back to the rotation. I have no idea what they're thinking here.

    I seem to remember Mientkiewicz saying ABW was his most improved player from last year. Not sure if he's said anything beyond that though.

    Speaking of Minier, I'm assuming he'll make the jump to Elizabethton this year? I haven't heard anything about him this season.

    Sounds like Mat Batts got the call over Gonsalves to head to Fort Myers. Luke Bard was finally activated from the DL and will start for the Kernels, Yorman Landa went back to the DL after throwing just one inning.

    He was in the bullpen for good before he got hurt so I would imagine he's there to stay.

    He's not ready and there was no reason to believe he would be with the numbers he was putting up in the minors.

    Anyone have any thoughts on what Kepler's future position will be? It seems like he's been playing 1B out of necessity with Buxton, Walker, and Harrison manning the three OF spots. I seem to recall hearing the he could play all three spots in the outfield but left seems most likely based on the little I know about him.

    There is no way he can stay in AAA until July if he keeps hitting the way he is with Schafer/Robinson on the big league squad.

    Polanco seems to be flying under the radar being on the same team as Buxton and Sano. He's having a hell of a season so far.

    I don't really agree with the decision but that doesn't change the fact that I'm excited to see what Rosario can do.
