Pending physicals, Ryan Pressly will apparently be joining Caleb Thielbar in Chicago: https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2025/01/cubs-to-acquire-ryan-pressly.html

    Did they catch points?

What i miss? I got distracted by the A-Team....
  4. sampleSizeOfOne
And they make good use of it.

Oh that. I just didn't realize it unfair. I looked up unfair, and saw as examples that was how come you couldn't goal tend a field goal. Also they had the example of the coach tripping the returner a while back. But i also thought pushing the ball carrier wasn't allowed either, so what do i know? The other game will start soon, with the Twins connection at quarterback.

    What i miss?
  7. sampleSizeOfOne
Nope not over yet. But one may argue the outcome has been decided.
  8. sampleSizeOfOne
Yeah. Put Royce Lewis back in the blue! He was good then.

Far be it from me to explain the joke. So i won't. But as new Sh... stuff has come to light, (Bunny kidnapped herself.) But, well, you gotta feed the weasel. I offer the question: where else has our non-unanimous voter also felt the need to reallocate their wasted vote? Killebrew root beer: A&W and Barq's already have the backing of big soda. Grace L Ferguson Airline and StormDoor company? Almond butter? Dr. Demento? Tom Bodett?

Too lazy to search for a basketball thread or make one, but the gophers won their last two games. Good on them.

I don't know. I am sure there are lots of factors that go into national distribution of prospects signed. And barking does usually have existence as a prerequisite. I sure hope Watson followed that logic.

I assume lack of discussion reflects the fact no one knows these players rather than no one uses this forum.
  13. sampleSizeOfOne
True. And the sale hanging over everything probably limits how aggressive they can be, as it would be unfortunate if potential buyer(s) backed out over a Randy Dobnak extension. Coffee is for closers.

And as i wake up the next morning, lost 5-3. At least it didn't affect their road record.
  15. sampleSizeOfOne
Color me impressed. I just noticed that Wild have the best road record in the league. That is something.

I saw a MLB trade rumors article mentioning the Twins, specifically that we'd signed someone the Dodgers released from a verbal commitment, likely to save their pool for Roki Sasaki. Not gonna try to summarize everything else. There are links to who all we've signed so far, and i bet names will be added between now and the next time someone checks it. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2025/01/international-free-agent-signings-2025-mlb.html But yeah, i figured this was worth discussion.... Addendum: Minnesota Twins ($7,555,500 pool) Santiago Leon, SS, Venezuela Carlos Taveras, OF, Dominican Republic Haritzon Castillo, SS, Venezuela Teilon Serrano, OF, Domincian Republic Santiago Castellanos, RHP, Venezuela Jose Barrios, SS, Venezuela Joyner Perez, OF, Dominican Republic Jhomnardo Reyes, OF, Dominican Republic Aaron Salazar, C, Venezuela Juan Quiñones, LHP, Venezuela Darwin Almanzar, SS, Dominican Republic Cristian Bonifacio, OF, Dominican Republic Jamesson Val, 3B, Haiti Daniel De La Valle, C, Colombia Eliezer Lucena, RHP, Venezuela Rainer Marin, RHP, Venezuela Eli Urena, RHP, Dominican Republic (i assume in the order the person on the website hears about them) according to: https://www.baseballamerica.com/stories/2025-mlb-international-signings-tracker/

I have a friend who's an AV's fan. They were on the Wild's heels last i checked, as was Dallas? And thanks for responding! I didn't notice (or forgot) i'd posted something resembling a haiku...
