  1. I have it on good authority that Who's still on first. And too lazy to read the article, but i'm curious what it would take for Mr. Correa to waive his no trade clause.
  2. Instead of saying congrats, i'll just like everyone else's post who says congrats. Because i am so lazy. Is that good enough?
  3. Is this one of those murphy's law games?
  4. We tied it while i was fooding? Good for us.
  5. Long time passing?
  6. Yeah! Only run backwards on the non-sacks.
  7. I hope he can get healthy, and we will sure miss him! And i like to think that the Twins perhaps more conscientious of injuries than some organizations? So i like to think it a good thing to wind up with the Twins if you have unusual health needs? But what do I know... Hope he still maintains some connection to the Twins if he so desires.
  8. Does signing him to a long term contract count as tendering for the purposes of this discussion? And what sort of return would folk not complain about if we traded him? (Personally, i still want him to get his chance at starting. Yeah, i'm an incurable optimist.)
  9. What's the message? And are these the kind that have ambigous (if not miserable) grammer speling and, punctuation?
  10. I just kinda figured someone should say something. They seem to have gone 5-1-1 on a 7 game road trip, which, if games are played roughly every other day, is half a month without playing in front of their own fans. (i assume they have fans, even if not too many seem to be here) Anyway, good luck to 'em!
  11. Note to self: hand out Babe Ruths this halloween.
  12. There was a blurb on NPR where a fan was explaining about being a Yankees fan while Jeter was there. Personally i think the Yankee i rooted for was Doug Mientkiewicz... who was in high school with Jeter, i think? No... Alex Rodriguez. Now there is sterling example of Yankeedom. World series will be the epitome of fair play with him on the Yankees.
  13. I guess it's to make fun of front-runners. A worthy enough target. Well, actually, to be read. Why else write? And probably to be appreciated? Like anyone else, @RandBalls Stu just wants to be loved. But more to make fun of those shallow enough to follow popular or successful franchises without some deeper reason.. (more the former, but it is hard to distinguish, sometimes)
  14. I hold out hope he roots for the Minneapolis Lakers
  15. Oh well. Almost.
  16. Anyone watching? Up by 2 with 5 seconds to go. Nice to be up rather than down by 2 in the closing seconds...
  17. Well, someone mighta got injured? And one of those weird things, passing good seems to make running easier if they don't expect it? So maybe we improved our running of the game as well? I pick the Vikings because as a kid they mysteriously seemed to do better if i did my homework, and hope to do my homework today, at least if a certain football game doesn't distract me too much.
  18. Wait... So if i buy the team, we can send Margot to pinch hit in every game? Where did i leave my lunch money... And is there anything under the sofa cushions?
  19. Woohoo! Local station switched games!
  20. Sigh... I had hoped i was far enough east they might show a good game over a New York game. Oh well. Gives me a reason to do stuff instead of sit on a couch, so it ain't all bad.
  21. But is it ten-er?
  22. Nevermind. That was the year prior: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Rose_Bowl_Hoax
