Neither did it go down? (Somehow i am reminded of "neither a dry bare sandy hole with nothing to sit on". Was it hobbit team sale, and does that mean comfort?)
-
PS... double checked and saw the 4:53pm update. Never mind. -
True... There is Nuance in everything. This off-season isn't over yet. Those aren't operatic subtitles in the image? (and i came here just to check... If they didn't explicitly say someone in the article above was non-tendered, i can safely assume the got tendered? I think it only said Larnach was tendered and only that, because readers may have expected otherwise. I'd be extra sad if only Larnach were tendered, and the rest had become free agents...) And i'm too lazy to find (or start) the right forum to say this (or test the fact i can post on diamondcentric sites) but the prospect of ending up selecting Noah Miller back in the rule 5 draft is appealing to me.

How does compare with the Timberwolves ownership situation? There is something to be said with sorting things out before they get messy...

PS. Don't underestimate the value of frequent flyer miles. I recall a social event that was extra special back in the aughts, when one friend, fearful of losing all those miles due to a potential United Bankruptcy, flew a bunch of people out to the event to use them up. Be that as it may, i wonder how many miles a baseball player would earn anyway in a season.... Anyone feel like doing the math for me?

How com we don't implement the platoon home/road squads? We can register the entire team as a family and line it up so they can take paternity leave during all road games. I haven't yet worked out how the minor league team nearest the road game gets promoted., but i'm sure minor league logistics have to be easier...

I'm still rooting for him.

I was also expecting to find farthings between the Bently seat cushions...
-
Sorry i ain't been paying much attention... I saw from the standings we could have been doing better, but that's about all i've noticed?
-
I hope he wins!

If this pans out, with Frank Viola in mibd, what nickname does he get?

Biggest mystery since Jackie Treehorn sent the carpet peeers in search of Bunny... Let us know when anything breaks!

Woulda tricked me. I'd never have recognized ya. More importantly, how much candy did ya snag?
-
You too! I'm going as a disgruntled internet poster. How about you?

DUCH. (severely). I have known instances in which the characteristics of both conditions existed concurrently in the same individual. DUKE. Ah, he couldn’t have been a Plaza-Toro. DUCH. Oh! couldn’t he, though!

2024ad-2025ad season thread
sampleSizeOfOne replied to sampleSizeOfOne's topic in Minnesota Wild Talk
Or at least hard to lose to such... -
I see we lost. Again Did anyone quote the taxi driver in the Big Lebowski? We're at .500. A glass half full season, despite being last in our division.

We are last in our division. Just like the Vikings. Sigh. -
Kaprizov turns down richest NHL contract in history
sampleSizeOfOne replied to Original_JB's topic in Minnesota Wild Talk
So... the name of the thread is no longer true? Because he didn't turn down the biggest (1.36x10^8)offer? Or it still is true because no one has turned down a bigger (than 1.28x10^8) offer? -
Tracking Former Twins in Postseason
sampleSizeOfOne replied to Permanent Twins Fan's topic in Minnesota Twins Talk
Brusdar Graterol is also on the 60 day il for the Dodgers, just to be complete... Remember how the Red Sox didn't want him in the end. But we still got Kenta Meada more or less straight up (but rather less than more?*) from the Dodgers afterwards. *-Kudos to all who get that reference... "to thy fond care i do commit this pitcher..." -
He would work for exposure?
-
Something abouut this suggests Pooh Bah... Come over here where owners can't hear us....
-
I hope they wait until spring to sign such a manager. Exposure can be bad during the winter.
