  1. So they don't just have a barrel that has been aged appropriately? Like with other beverages? PS. Bringing my own time machine's a trap. if i did, everyone would want to use it, and i didn't splurge on any of the deluxe safety features like paradoxical air bags.
  2. One wonders if nickel beer's taste correlated with the cost in any way? Do they serve it in thimbles, or is it somewhat watered down?
  3. I am impressed with your horizons. You must be really tall.
  4. I too am pleased with this turn of events. Thanks for some good news!
  5. There are youtube videos of the interstates? Where have you been all my life? At least he's not buying plane tickets to Oswaldo, Florida to pull Goofy's finger....
  6. I am curious though about the foreground of the image... What is the brown stuff that looks like a pile of fries blown off the plate?
  7. Not so sure of that... Seems to assume 2029 Falvey is still in a position to appreciate the labors of Current Falvey. Whatever. As long as they let him keep the PJs, i'm sure he'll be happy.
  8. Do we really want to win the Fifa Peace Prize?
  9. Pretty sure the rest of the world ages, while this thread is pressed between the leaves of the internets, to be a pretty flower someone looks back on when they dust off this site.
  10. Yeah, i meant to watch the recent Wild Avalanche game with a friend who always wears an Avalanche hat. I suppose i should be glad i missed it, but otherwise the Wild aren't doing so bad this year.
  11. Just so as ya know... If i learned nothing else from The Sound of Music, it is that a closed door implies an open window. And if there is nothing else i learned from Fargo( the original movie at least... about time i familiarize myself with the restcof the franchise), it's that it pays to watch the open windows. I am not yet sure what light it sheds on the situation, but rest assured that a year from now, i'll be able to in good conscience say "i told ya so"
  12. For some reason, i always conflate Hardees with Roy Rogers. Or vice versa. I can never remember.
  13. Setting their sights too low for me. I won't follow them unless they're making a run on the Stanley bowl. Then we could rest on our Laurels.
  14. Going for what? (Sorry, i wasn't paying attention)
  15. Now that i've thought it, i can't unthink it... "Duncan Pohlad from the clan Pohlad, and i'm immoral... er immortal... There can be only one!" (And i figure more people would get that than some obscure kind hearts and coronets reference, although i suppose it's a toss up between Sean Connery and Alec Guinness as the better role model for the young Pohlad...)
  16. Are there penalties for not spending the entire signing bonuses associated with the higher pick? And i'm trying to gauge how much of a farce me thinking that Stu laughs out loud is... I confess, i've never actually heard Stu laugh, mostly because i just read his articles here. It may take while for me to sort that out, especially as i'm now distracted thinking of the Mary Poppins song lyrics about laughing... "Some people laugh through their teeth, goodness sakes! Hissing and fizzing like snakes... not at all attractive to my way of thinking". Which catagory mentioned in the song does Randballs Stu fall into?
  17. If i am his uncle, my siblings have been more promiscuous than i have been led to believe. But i take solace from your post as it seems less likely they will lose him. Nah, i just feel philosophically a knuckle ball is the last best hope for the world. Things are crazy enough as it is, it feels like the only viable course of action is to have that unpredictability work for us, for a change. Wakefield had his role in breaking the curse as much as Big Papi and Douggie Baseball. Oh wait... Been long enough since i checked in here, maybe the rule 5 is already done. I can look this up....
  18. I will never forgive the Twins if they lose Cory Lewis. But i suppose i will roll with the loss as i do with so many crazy things these days. And i will enjoy rooting for a new team.
  19. If there is anything i am an expert in, it's over eating. He won't regret eating *all* the nachos. Merely the last third of them.
  20. I am sad, but such is life. I am sure greed will supplant sadness if it happens as our shrewd management team robs the other team blind of all their up and coming talent, only to be eliminated single- handedly by Buxton from our next possible post-season run.
