  1. Yeah, i know. Just the exchange of an out for a base makes it plausibly sacrificial in nature. And i'm sure no one will say it weren't a fly... Interesting that they make the infield/outfield distinction... I'd not considered that. I should perhaps ask where the boarder between the infield and the outfield actually lies... If an infield fly rule gets called, does that automatically mean it won't be scored a sac fly if the runner tags and scores? Anyway... Dozier has ended the game. Time to listen to the post game post treat post...
  2. Pursuant to previous discussion... The runner advanced to second on the deep fly. How come that ain't scored a sacrifice?
  3. If you're gonna work, working for a change is the right way to do it.
  4. Oh, i meant to say that i must be a natural left fielder, as the bit of Jim Post i listened to whilst awaitin' the game was satisfyin'.
  5. I'll take good care of her. She won't get a scratch!
  6. CBU. As used in ballet (i think) tutu is the score, entering the 7th? Will we have to hit another dinger?
  7. Finally got 'round to looking it up. Perkins and perhaps Dozier (if the online KC contingent doesn't weigh in) represent the Twins? This feels like a conspiracy to deny KC players adequate rest over the break...
  8. With vector analysis! Alas, they're lighting up Hughes this inning...
  9. I could be arguing on my spare time. Instead, i'll pine for the fjords. Nothing stirs the blood like glaciation. Unless its plate tectonics...
  10. Hicks, on the run facing the fence, catches the ball off the bat of Parmelee. Pretty good, i say.
  11. Oh yeah, CBU unchanged. (that'll teach ya to pay attention)
  12. Were they shifting on Mauer? Just the 3rd baseman bein' deep. But yeah, i like me a good bunt.
  13. We are enjoyin' all the ex-twins on the Orioles, how many ex-Orioles do we got?
  14. CBU say 2 home runs are more than 1 home run. 2-1 heading into the 3rd.
  15. The song is inaccurate though. If you are strange enough, people do tend to remember your name... (have gotten by being remembered more often than remembering other folk)
  16. Wait... Someone besides Dozier can hit a lead off homerun? I thought he had that copyrighted or something.
  17. Wow, them's strong feelings... I'm tryin' to think if i got songs i like that i don't appreciate... I think the only thing comparable for me is when i had friends who played the dynasty warriors series of games for long periods of time and that sound track got on my nerves a bit.
  18. Not having seen the name in writing as often, i think i thought they were the almond brothers...
  19. Should we specify between board and pen? I was thinking the alabama song adequately represents how dramatically some people take things. And even the second verse works, if "little girl" is a euphemism for top prospect.
  20. Regardin' the bullpen... Did they do "i'm a backdoor slider?" I'd like to say break on through to the other side, 'cause everyone likes Perkins... Still tryin' to remember what Doors i've heard...
