  1. Hmmm... Sounds like a low leverage situation to try out new rally material... Any ideas?
  2. As i've gotten older, i'm perhaps more forgiving of it. Haven't really tried mixing it with anything either. But grey poupon commercials were fun to mock... Er, good start, Dozier!
  3. I hear colors run in the laundry. Perhaps that doesn't illuminate the phrase, i just figured maybe that was the first step towards flying colors... Anyway, i'm satisfied. It's better than passing the mustard. Not much for mustard am i. So i'm fine with passing it. Almost 2 hours to game time... (Going back to doin' other stuffs...)
  4. Really? We get to do that?! Cool! (I kinda thought it'd be Molitor's job...) Edit: Oh, wait. Just the game thread. Had me goin' there for a moment.
  5. I always liked "Garbage in, Garbage out." (Shame to see the zeros go in the post count... but the way i'm goin'. i'll see 'em again. And those posted by May tonight will likely be of more interest and perhaps better earned.)
  6. (And to get it out of the way and not forget...) Funny how pearls of wisdom grow from a bit o dirt stuck in an oyster's craw... Here i hope to contribute with other prec(oc)ious stones of that kidney... A rule of thumb i've heard mentioned... she is correct. it behooves one to recall it. An archaic but shorter form: Her be Right, a Behoover, further ab"be"viated and simplified: Herbe(rt, hoover) and so all would remember, we named a president after this rule. But as Polonius says in Hamlet... "Neither a borrower nor a lender be." He says no to be-lender. I guess it is important to maintain slicing and dicing skills... Burrowing is it's own punishment, as you're just digging yourself a hole. Oh. I'm sorry, i flunked paragraphy in high school. Let me try again? Herbert Hoover and not b-lender, while not exactly pearls of wisdom, might be stones of that kidney. (And if it can fit in a sentence, it must be able to fit in some paragraph or other...) Does that pass? May i return the favor? Next mile stone... um... mobius strip, Gettysburg address, and bioluminescence? (Note to self. Less fun trying to think in advance than to do it on the fly... Maybe that is the secret to the threads of the games...)
  7. Wish i'd watched more TV, even though i bet i could dig it all up now somehow. It's more about having it somewhere in the background to draw upon. Meh, I guess i got my own (perhaps esoteric) set of cultural references to draw upon...
  8. Sure it wasn't a sweatshirt? I always get those two confused, because i expect the word with "shirt" in it to be well, more shirt-like. But i have learned the difference, and i think the hood would help with sun more... Oh, and i miss Ramos as well. I probably didn't pay as close attention to the minors at the time. It felt like a move just to make a move.
  9. "And then?" (Too lazy to look for associated video clip...)
  10. "Nothing could possibly be more satisfactory."
  11. I am content. What's on the menu for tomorrow?
  12. Yes. Here's to your unerring financial acumen!
  13. Not sure i've seen it either... If i get a chance, i'll check it out. But it didn't seem like a particularly strange response to my query... It was an example, i think, of how small steps can take you very widely afield, if you aren't paying attention...
  14. In the Majors. I'm pretty sure he did it a time or two for the Lookouts.
  15. Not gonna get me that easy! Chief told me not to explain jokes... (And for my next trick, i'm gonna jump a shark. Should be safe if there's no milk involved...)
  16. Plouffe is not Dozier. Dozier is not Plouffe. Brian is not Trevor. Trevor is not Brian. That sufficient? (I got bored with cut and paste...)
  17. Probably not, as I can't imagine anyone publishing my writing. But we could be symptomatic of the same inattention to detail...
  18. My bad. I must remember. Plouffe is not Dozier. Plouffe is not Dozier. Plouffe is not Dozier. (Wait, how many times was i supposed to cut and paste it again?)
  19. I feel stupid... Show's how closely i'm following the game. That was Plouffe. That's less unpossible. (sorry, i guess i'm used to Rosario after Dozier...)
  20. Rosario with wheels. Beats out the dribbler down the first base line. Pitcher waits in hopes it rolls foul.
  21. I beg to differ. Dozier did in fact, double to right.
