Are there penalties for not spending the entire signing bonuses associated with the higher pick? And i'm trying to gauge how much of a farce me thinking that Stu laughs out loud is... I confess, i've never actually heard Stu laugh, mostly because i just read his articles here. It may take while for me to sort that out, especially as i'm now distracted thinking of the Mary Poppins song lyrics about laughing... "Some people laugh through their teeth, goodness sakes! Hissing and fizzing like snakes... not at all attractive to my way of thinking". Which catagory mentioned in the song does Randballs Stu fall into?

If i am his uncle, my siblings have been more promiscuous than i have been led to believe. But i take solace from your post as it seems less likely they will lose him. Nah, i just feel philosophically a knuckle ball is the last best hope for the world. Things are crazy enough as it is, it feels like the only viable course of action is to have that unpredictability work for us, for a change. Wakefield had his role in breaking the curse as much as Big Papi and Douggie Baseball. Oh wait... Been long enough since i checked in here, maybe the rule 5 is already done. I can look this up....

I will never forgive the Twins if they lose Cory Lewis. But i suppose i will roll with the loss as i do with so many crazy things these days. And i will enjoy rooting for a new team.

I am sad, but such is life. I am sure greed will supplant sadness if it happens as our shrewd management team robs the other team blind of all their up and coming talent, only to be eliminated single- handedly by Buxton from our next possible post-season run. -
Neither did it go down? (Somehow i am reminded of "neither a dry bare sandy hole with nothing to sit on". Was it hobbit team sale, and does that mean comfort?)

True... There is Nuance in everything. This off-season isn't over yet. Those aren't operatic subtitles in the image? (and i came here just to check... If they didn't explicitly say someone in the article above was non-tendered, i can safely assume the got tendered? I think it only said Larnach was tendered and only that, because readers may have expected otherwise. I'd be extra sad if only Larnach were tendered, and the rest had become free agents...) And i'm too lazy to find (or start) the right forum to say this (or test the fact i can post on diamondcentric sites) but the prospect of ending up selecting Noah Miller back in the rule 5 draft is appealing to me.

PS. Don't underestimate the value of frequent flyer miles. I recall a social event that was extra special back in the aughts, when one friend, fearful of losing all those miles due to a potential United Bankruptcy, flew a bunch of people out to the event to use them up. Be that as it may, i wonder how many miles a baseball player would earn anyway in a season.... Anyone feel like doing the math for me?

How com we don't implement the platoon home/road squads? We can register the entire team as a family and line it up so they can take paternity leave during all road games. I haven't yet worked out how the minor league team nearest the road game gets promoted., but i'm sure minor league logistics have to be easier...
