    The Twins seem to be doing quite well this year against LHP, I imagine that Hicks big difference is a part of it. He seems to be playing well. I like the idea of Rosario, Buxton, Hicks against LHP next year and Arcia, Buxton, Rosario against most RHP.

    Can we trade Gibson for a good C or SS? Before today's game might have been a good time to "sell high". I sure hope the Twins aren't buyers at the trade deadline. They should be sellers. It's obvious that they are nowhere near as good as KC.

    Could he go back to SS? Then you could put Sano at 3B and that would fix the SS problem.

    The Twins should be sellers right now. They are not going anywhere in the playoffs this year, if they even make it. Why would you throw away prospects for a rental player? The only deal that makes any sense is trading away prospects for a talented MLB player who has a team friendly contract. Otherwise just stick with the prospects.

    I was very pessimistic about the Torii Hunter signing before the season started. I'm glad to see that he has had such a positive impact in the clubhouse. I hope that the Twins will offer him a job as a coach after this season to keep him around the clubhouse while allowing the youngsters to play RF instead of Torii.

    Can we trade Mauer? Or move Mauer back to catcher & trade Suzuki? Suzuki is seriously awful and the Twins made a huge mistake in giving him that contract. The Twins absolutely should not be buyers. Even if they make the postseason this year they are not good enough to go far so it doesn't make sense to trade for a rental player. The Twins should have the goal of making the playoffs in 2016 and competing for a World Series title in 2017-2020+. In 2017+ is when they may be buyers at the trade deadline. I like the idea of trading Pelfrey. Plouffe is an interesting idea. I agree that the Twins should look to move him this offseason if they don't trade him now. As long as Sano keeps hitting it makes sense to move Plouffe. I hope that the Twins staff is working daily with Sano on his defense, even though he's only played DH so far in the big leagues.

    Good article. I'm not sure that I'd call Pelf "one of the best pitchers in the league", no matter what his stats are so far. He still has a high WHIP and low strikeout totals.

    I like the idea of trading someone, whoever has the highest current value. I also like the idea of a 6-man rotation. Perhaps you trade someone and have a 6-man rotation once Nolasco comes back.

    Cut Mauer, who cares if you have to eat his contract, he's unproductive Help Vargas improve his defense at 1B Trade Plouffe when his value is highest, even if Sano isn't ready because Escobar can cover 3rd temporarily Help Santana get back on track to take over SS Rosario in LF, Buxton in CF & Arcia in RF with Hicks as 4th OF should be next year's starting lineup DO NOT under any circumstances offer Torii Hunter another contract to play, offer him a contract as a coach for next year Trade Arcia while his value is highest and bring up Kepler, Hicks can fill in if Arcia's value peaks before Kepler is ready

    I'd offer him a coaching job for next year & no contract to play. If he still wants to play then he can go elsewhere. His bat isn't enough better than Vargas, Arcia, Pinto, etc to take at bats away from them as a DH next year and he doesn't belong in the outfield anymore.

    I hope that Dozier's approach is one that it isn't easy for opposing pitchers to game plan against. I hope that Molitor will soon move him down a few slots in the lineup so that he can drive in more runs.
