    Extend him while hes performing at his best? Have we not learned? Just look at Joe Mauer (after his one power year), Doumit (he was doing well once to start the season). I can probably think up more ill advised extensions given time. Looking back, there could have been significant savings there. Wait and see, is the best approach right now.

    I'm not sure about this but I read his batted ball distance is about the same as last year so far so the homerun pace will come down but more doubles will arise.

    Twins finally did something right and traded a player when the value was the highest. Normally, they like to trade low (Gomez, Hardy, ect...)

    Still get a majority of Twins game though. That feel when you live in southwest corner of Minnesota and don't have cable. Would purchase MLB.tv if I didn't live out in the country (no unlimited internet) and blackouts restrictions

    Would rather have a Single A "B" prospect for him. I think that would be a good return as the Twins dont really need more bullpen arms at the present. Not that this is a stellar bullpen or anything

    Career batting average versus righties: .289 Lefties: 233 I think its safe to say he didnt hit very well overall. Of course for hicks that would be an excellent average

    Call me a pessimist but I dont see Hicks being anything other then a 4th outfielder in the future. He's only had two decent seasons that he batted very well and they were both fueled by high BABIP which happens a lot in the minors but not the majors unless your a talented player. Make matters worse the highest ISO hes had was .173 the year he did well in Double AA. Looking back that draft year was pretty bad especially the first round. The best players are Buster Posey, Eric Hosmer and Andrew Cashner. Cashner would have been a nice pick.

    I have a feeling the Twins pitching is just what Cano needs. I expect 2-3 bombs in this series.

    I dont like it because it doesnt have a sidebar of the recent articles on the main page. I dont even look at whats on the main page a lot of the time, I just want to see what everyone is commenting on.

    I remember in spring training, he was striking out a ton as well and that was against some inferior pitchers. So I'm not really surprised.

    Too expensive, let someone else have him. Its not like the Twins are an Ace away from contending. And I wouldnt dub him an Ace yet, great number #2 on good staffs.

    Gibson really has a bad strikeout to walk ratio. He better correct that in the longrun or hes going to be another marginal starter at best.

    Hit .300 last year in Triple AAA with 100 RBI's. 2 to 1 strikeout to walk ratio, looks like he would have been a decent flier.

    So he must be thurst into the starting shortstop role then? I don't know why he would come up only just to sit on the bench.
