  1. Just woke up after a half hour nap. Nothing has happened. Considering returning to my coma.
  2. To the poster saying sell high on a bunch of players, what does that say to the fans and the organization? I think selling Suzuki would be smart as he hasn't proven to be that great over the years. Dozier has been a good player for over a year and isn't expensive. As for the relievers sure but to trade a player like Dozier with no easy replacement makes no sense. Especially since prospects are a crapshoot
  3. You win some you lose some. I was happy when they signed bigger names like Sano, Polanco and Kepler in the past years. Even though Kepler looks like he has a tough road ahead of him to make the majors, the other two look promising. Imagine if the Twins signed Gregory Polanco a few years back! Twins were reported to have come in 2nd to the Pirates in the bidding. But then the Twins did get lucky when Sano picked them over the Pirates. Still a fan can dream...
  4. Probably will get Collabello up one last time. Vargas really isnt a 1st baseman.
  5. His contact percentage is down to mid 80's compared to high 80's and low 90's during his really good years. So his bat speed probably isnt what it once was. But thats not the problem, even though hes striking out a bit more. I think his fly ball percentage (19%!!) is worrisome. Unless he starts hit some more flyballs compared to grounders, he will have a hard time hitting double digit homeruns. I dont have batted ball distance but it would be interesting to see how it compares to his average. I'm guessing its dipped as well.
  6. Nolasco and the word clutch don't mesh well
  7. Mauer over or under on 60 RBI? I say under.
  8. Padres leading the DL days is no surprise. Carlos Q could probably hurt himself walking back to the dugout.
  9. Florimon not even sure where 2nd base is
  10. I tried the reverse jinx and picked up Lewis in fantasy. I'm already behind in ERA and WHIP so I thought it would be worth it either way.
  11. How long until the 2015 draft discussion thread starts up? The Twins are coming in hot for that 5th spot again. Maybe even higher considering Astros and the Marlins aren't completely terrible this year.
  12. I wonder if the Twins got the scouting report that Beltre is hot and the guy behind him is cold?
  13. ahhh, with the experienced throwing error, baserunners only move up ONE base. This is a big advantage
  14. Florimon with the walk! Should pinch run for him, its been awhile and unfamiliar territory. Does he know the signs?
  15. That Odor guy is YOUNGER then Polanco. I bet the Rangers would love an experienced Florimon to take his place.
  16. I'd do a good rant on Florimon but that would get me banned...
  17. No he has "experience"
  18. Between this putrid offense and pitching, along with not playing new and exciting rookie callups to inject some life in this offense.... I'm out of here. I'll be back for the minor league thread.
  19. This offense is unwatchable.
  20. According to Gardy, Florimon gets the nod because he has "experience" Experience doing what exactly?
  21. So is Polanco only going to pinch hit this weekend? We all know hes going down when Plouffe returns on Monday. Why not start him at short for a couple games?
  22. How long until this guy starts getting some heat for his performance so far?
  23. It seems funny because the hype on Arcia two weeks ago was almost out of control. 30+ homeruns and the big bopper in the lineup... People need to realize that a little hot streak doesnt change much in the long run. And that is that he strikes out a bit too much to be effective. That can change but like Parker noted he needs to fix his mechanical issues and get a better feel for the strike zone.
