  1. The only downside, imo, is that Suzuki is still in MN......it is hard to see how he wasn't dealt.
  2. Look, I really liked Meyer last year (or the year before......not sure.....)......but they got a legit MLB pitcher for him, who can probably be flipped at next year's deadline, and Meyer may never pitch in the majors. Oh, and they unloaded Nolasco and saved some money.......I hope Meyer becomes awesome, because I just want people to succeed, but I can't rip this deal. Not even in retrospect if that happens....
  3. Dave Cameron..... http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/instagraphs/the-weirdest-trade-of-the-day-year/
  4. Why? Nolasco was bad here, and Meyer is the disappearing man.....and they got a guy that might start for them while we wait for the AA phenoms to get here......what difference does the money make?
  5. I gotta admit, I had high hopes for Meyer.....but if they packaged him with Nolasco, and got back nothing, I'd be impressed....but to get back a player that actually plays? 3-3.
  6. I don't agree.....not trading Suzuk is bad, imo. He's a FA after this year, they aren't good, and he's pretty bad defensively. They can sign a mediocre FA next offseason, if they need to. apparently, spy and I just aren't seeing eye to eye this deadline.......
  7. Pretty much no matter what he does, you criticize it. He got a good prospect for a RP that is a FA after this year (I think).......isn't that a good trade? I don't understand the line of thinking here at all. I agree with Seth, 2-2.
  8. So they took advantage of their resources, and didn't keep them around "to be competitive this year/next year"? Isn't that what a smart team does? Some teams trade their players, and get better, some do not......for some reason.
  9. KLAW just said that Yankees are now one of the top 3 farm systems.....that is one fast rebuild if they pan out!
  10. gotta be a fake account, Reed retired from pro sports years ago.....was a heck of a WR though.
  11. It does show what Perkins might have been worth (discounted as RPs are more valuable now).....
  12. Come on.....there is no comparison between a healthy Will Smith and Abad......
  13. Eric A Longenhagen 2:31 Bickford has been 89-92 with a 50 slider and plus command. Barely threw a changeup as an amateur so that pitch is behind. Not sure why so many are in love with him.
  14. Innings limit for sure......no worries yet. I love the Abad deal. They don't need Abad, and they got a 25 yo hard thrower......what's not to like?
  15. That puts him light years ahead of much of the MLB team.....alas. I'm much more worried about the strikeouts.....
  16. Traded my baseball cards for a beer can collection.....sigh. I doubt I had any valuable cards, but still.....
  17. He'd have to actually play every day......how does that happen on this team/roster?
  18. Me neither.....I don't see Ervin or Dozier traded today anyway.
  19. You could be right, but I am not sure it is rational on their parts.
  20. I predict Abad is dealt for not much, and that's it.
  21. Add fire Molitor, and I hire you.
