  1. Even a regressed Morrison is better than the existing alternatives. Not defending the move, just saying a normal year for him is better than any internal option. There risk was fairly low, imo
  2. Can only go up, but he's doing his best to prove that even inexpensive deals can be bad.... I expect league average DH the rest of the way.
  3. The blue Jays were largely projected to be better than the twins, and they have been. I'm not sure I would expect a series win. Might happen, but might not.
  4. This was the single most predictable thing that would happen this year. What a waste.
  5. Way too early to give up on Garver. His AAA numbers indicate he'll probably be a decent to good catcher.
  6. The twins aren't that good, and have less room for error. Way less talent, and way less room for bad play.
  7. Sano gets on base more than either of them, before this year, and likely by the end of the year.
  8. No issues, was kind of snarky way to put that.....I have no idea if Romero is ready or not, but I don't think the number of AAA starts is the right measure, that was kind of my point, which I made poorly.
  9. I'm confused. I thought they could promote from AA, and that's why it is ok Gordon and Gonsalves are there? If so, I'd assume they can promote after little AAA time.....
  10. You really think Morrison needs a message? That that would change things?
  11. I don't know if there are many options to bring up players right now. Probably a RP for kinley, one who can be sent back down if needed, but other than that? This is the roster. Oh, and someone for Hughes. I'd go Mejia. For sure
  12. I didn't say you couldn't say that....I said it had nothing to do with what they should do with kinley. I agree completely he is not why they are losing, but the front office can't fix Sano... But they do have control over the roster construction. I think that's the point I would make to those saying kinley isn't the problem, and not worth discussing. I agree, he's not the biggest, or fifth biggest, problem. But, the front office can't fix Sano, or Buxton, or Duke..... But they can decide who is in the team. I don't know what a discussion of "Sano needs to hit better" looks like, but it's probably not really interesting, or something that needs more than a couple posts. Roster construction? The use of players with options versus those without at the end of the bench? Etc? Those are things that people can disagree on, and we can have conversations about. Imo
  13. Not relevant to what to do with kinley, though. Not even a little.
  14. Kind of showing talent matters too...imo. Gonsalves and Gordon should be there, that would help. But they aren't.
  15. I really don't know what to think at this point. But, my thoughts are less positive about this team than they were a month ago.
  16. I expected a competitive game. This team is better than this. They are how many years into this rebuild? I expected better, much better.
  17. I was on a walk, didn't know it was kinley time!
  18. Im starting to lose confidence in this game
  19. He has almost no MLB at bats, I trust his minor league number as a projection....
