  1. Right. If they deal Polanco, one of those is your long term 2b.
  2. I can't see trading both those players for two years of Lopez.
  3. Lewis to the outfield. Lee to third. Miranda to DH or first. It's pretty easy to find space for them, imo.
  4. I'd also prefer more young players getting time. I'm a believer in most of them.
  5. I mean, I'd trade him..... But I'm not the front office.
  6. I know most won't agree, but I think this means they aren't dealing Kepler, unless it's part of a deal for an impact starter. They are all in.
  7. Stunned. Absolutely shocked they're spending this much money. I'm all for it.
  8. No one has replicated what Tampa does. And, plenty of teams try, like Detroit, KC, Cincy, Pittsburgh.....
  9. I'm not making any judgement about other teams. I'm suggesting if people are mad the twins don't do it, they should look at ownership. Because the front office change, and lack of signings doesn't. Looks like they are signing CC today, though.....
  10. People in this site giving up on players this young always amuse me.. I'm not worried, other than I'd like him playing left and center.
  11. If no front office ever signs great players, you should probably look to ownership.... And stop blaming the front office.
  12. This FO didn't manipulate kiriloff, larnach, Lewis, Miranda, or any pitcher. Why do you think they will with Julien? He'll be up when someone is traded or hurt, if they need a 2b, LF, or DH, maybe first base.
  13. Joe Ryan, Sonny Gray, say hi. I mean they signed Cruz when no one else did. This idea the front office is stupid is just not true. They aren't perfect, not close, but, well, they also aren't stupid. Also, when every front office in the history of the team is "cheap", it is likely not them that is the problem.
  14. Why is SD trading pitching? If only Darvish had been a free agent at one point..... The Twins have Lee and Lewis, why are they trading for a SS? Help me or here. I really don't understand any of these suggestions from either side.
  15. Gallo also has tremendous upside. He might not get there, but it's possible.
  16. I mean, the top free agents signed a long time ago. Other than one. Though I guess he did sign. I didn't bother reading the article, frankly.
  17. I can see this, though I don't love his knees or his long term position. But that's it among the options right now.
  18. I just don't see enough here for this to be a good idea. I'd rather buy a prospect by taking on a contract.
  19. Like who? No one does that for pitchers five years from free agency. Miranda? Seems unnecessary at this point.
  20. Most pitchers aren't as good against the great teams..... This idea somehow Ryan isn't good baffles me.
  21. They have an entire year of data they didn't have. They have other players. I agree on pagan. Three years of outcomes should be plenty of data.
  22. No one is extending pitchers with five years of control left.
  23. Who would you extend? To be clear, you don't think this team is very good, but they should extend people?
  24. I really don't understand your argument.....they shouldn't sign an elite player because everyone else was hurt last year and they didn't win? Like, then, don't sign any FA? What is your argument? How else would you like them so spend the money this year, given NO ONE is left in FA? What are you arguing?
