  1. I'd trade all of those players.....can't believe how bad Vasquez has been. I'd be the most hesitant on Farmer, as I think he's got value to this team in the next two years, possibly. I'd likely keep Maeda, unless getting a legit prospect or two back, as they can still get LUCKY this year and he's got value to them as a SP or RP (my preference). Polanco? I deal him. I'm just ready to move on, sadly. Losing Taylor would be a blow to the team, and if Lewis won't go to center, they can try either the AAA or AA CF at this point. Neither is young..... It might, might, be a mistake to only have CC as a long time veteran, but I don't know that that matters this year. And, I really want to learn if Wallner, Larnach, Jeffers, Carnargo, Julien are legit options (and Miranda, but that's on Lewis moving to CF or AK moving to the OF, which defeats the Larnach / Wallner tests).
  2. I think the Gray trade is the most interesting idea here.....I'd guess you can get more value back than Petty at this point.
  3. Did you miss the post from the moderator?
  4. I admit t I like game threads a lot more before the game starts..... Thanks for the lighthearted start!
  5. It truly is unreal at this point. I feel like they are trolling us.
  6. Sure, I'd like all of that......as this year is NOT a legit WS team. They need to figure out if any of these OFers are legit. Also, and I know this is silly.....but is Chris Williams a better Solano comp than Miranda?
  7. He's used to 3B more than the OF. I mean, I'd move him now, but they clearly aren't doing that.
  8. It's hard to imagine there would be a better starter available, unless he collapses over the next few weeks......
  9. That's fair. I'd like to see if he can improve or not......he's not a finished product by any means. But I get that others don't agree.
  10. At first and DH and PHing? I assume this is dropping as AK is back, but maybe I'm wrong here..... In any event, if Miranda is back up, I personally want him playing 3B (his only real shot at a position on this roster, IMO). YMMV of course.
  11. And mine. that's twice I've had to sort of apologize today. Sigh.
  12. But that means he's mostly on the bench, unless you move Kiriloff to the OF, but then you aren't seeing Wallner and Larnach out there..... I don't know if I ever need to see Sands again, but yes, Winder should be in MN full time at this point.
  13. See, I blame me (it's all about me) for posting over and over they weren't trading Kepler, they wanted depth. For some reason, that seems to be sticking, like, well, something sticky but I'm drawing a blank on a good joke....
  14. Truth, but that wasn't the tone at all....or maybe I just read it wrong. It seems everyone but the FO is ready to IL Buxton at this point.....
  15. Can we have on thread that isn't about Buxton and how the Twins are lying to fans?
  16. 100%. Keep him at third this year (unless you want to get Miranda back up) to get him comfortable, but let him know he's likely the starting CF next year.
  17. good point. I would also do that. I'd even consider offering him a retirement package if he can't ever play CF again......
  18. I agree with all of this, especially the part about learning if Wallner or Larnach or Miranda can play next year or not. I'd do the DFA part right now, but clearly the FO just will not admit Kepler hasn't been good for three years. Mind. Boggling. I especially like trading Gray and Polanco. Look, when healthy, Polanco is very good. But, it's time. They have Julien (yikes), Martin (will he ever be healthy), Lee, and Lewis (and Miranda?) for 2nd. That doesn't count Farmer or Castro or Gordon (who deserves a shot there, imo). Anyway, I almost posted something similar yesterday......so, great minds and all....
  19. Apologies. I'm just tired of the tone here. My bad. I do agree with you, progress in increasing batting and pitching has actually decreased the enjoyment of the game. Once we knew stealing bases wasn't a good idea, that was bad. Once we knew that trying to hit a HR instead of just making contact (early in the count) was right, the game lost something.
  20. Don't bother. So many here think progress is bad. Imagine these people using computers and cell phones, and thinking math is bad, wrong.
  21. Someone suggested trading Gray. I agree.
  22. I've never said they lie.... Others here do. I've said post game comments just aren't interesting. Most interviews aren't. Ymmv, of course, and decide he's lying for some reason.
  23. Just now on the way home from tasting beer..... My car told me I could push the microphone on the steering wheel and ask it anything.... So I asked it why the Twins can't win.... It had as many answers as the front office does.
