  1. Meh....go with Martin as the backup for Buxton (and Castro).....put your money elsewhere. (LF or RF or 1B are about it, really, as options, and CF, but there's only 1 good CF available).
  2. This isn't a hard choice at all. If someone wants to keep him on their 26 man roster all year, more power to them. Or, I believe, they can take him and then work out a deal with MN to put them on their 40 man......which, sure, why not?
  3. If he hits and walks and plays D like he did, I don't care his outs are SOs and not weak ground outs. Not even a little. If he played a full year in LF, at the rate he did this year (unlikely), he's the 2nd best LFer in the majors in terms of fWAR. It was a great year for him, if only the FO had called him up and left him up earlier....
  4. That makes sense, we just have different risk tolerance for this player.
  5. I love the ideas.....but no way I pay Bellinger for more than three years......He wasn't all that good the last few years before this one. And, at some point, he won't be all that good in CF, imo. I'd rather spend that money and Polanco's on a top end starter and take my chances in CF with Martin.
  6. Agreed. Too bad he got hurt, there might be a decent defense here....
  7. I'm not signing him for three years, no way.
  8. Sure, but that doesn't change my thoughts on the defense. So was the opposing QB today? How much did they score? I like Flores a lot..... But they aren't playing even average QBs right now.
  9. I'll say this, as much as I like Flores, they are playing bad teams....
  10. It really is amazing, the difference.
  11. Maybe he should suck too doing what he's awesome at? No one does that.... KOC still has some issues, but he seems to be overall good to very good.
  12. Waiting less than a year after drafting Lee to have him in AAA ... Agreed, does not seem like foot dragging....
  13. That's very slow if he's truly elite.
  14. Then hope he falls to Minnesota..... Perfect
  15. He looks great against some mediocre teams, but I expect he will against good ones also. He's number three for me right now, but not by much.
  16. Farmer can play defense..... Much, much, much better than Polanco. I hope they don't keep both, but expect they will.
  17. Penix is one of the most accurate throwers I can recall in college. Bo Nix reminds me of Burrow, agreed.
  18. Because every post is that it won't be good.
  19. So negative.
  20. Ya, this is the year to need a QB and not be historically bad.
  21. Farmer is also a much better defender than Polanco. I likely deal Polanco, but I think they don't.
  22. That was my point above.... The money isn't important. The roster spots are
  23. Thielbar is like 100 years old, Alcala is never healthy, and the other two might not be on the roster. So I'm hoping no on all four
  24. If they don't sign Hunter, and they could have had a 2nd and 3rd, I'll be disappointed, but we'll never know, so I'll pretend that wasn't on the table if he signs elsewhere.
