    It's hard to believe a MLB player couldn't luck into better stats than this year. I never expected this even with very low expectations.

    Steinbrenner just said their current payroll isn't sustainable, so I bet plenty of fans are bemoaning their "cheap" owners right now.....but I'm not sure how this is relevant to what the Twins need to do?

    Vazquez isn't worth 5 million right now, imo. I don't like the idea either, but if this is the budget, you have to cut someplace. I do appreciate your excellent response.

    Which other starters are you getting rid of to pay him next year? Because with raises (even w/o Farmer, Margot, and Santana), they are likely over their budget w/o Kepler (and you need to replace those three on the roster).....Can't trade Vazquez, so you get to keep him.....

    Yikes. Another year after this? He catches more than Jeffers, and is one of the worst hitters in all of baseball. Not just bad, like, historically bad. The Twins are giving away games not starting Jeffers at catcher more. And, another year? What prospect would you give up to get rid of Vazquez's salary? This team will be over it's limit again next year, just from raises......and they can't afford to pay or play this guy any more.

    I'm not overly interested in this type of player early.... Give me SS or OF or college pitcher in round one.

    Preach! Unfortunately, gotta keep the terrible veterans. Are people still defending Vazquez? How they aren't moving to more catching for Jeffers hurts my brain. How Margot is in this roster hurts my brain, they don't even trust him to field center. They are so obsessed with depth......

    This would take serious cohones to do, but I'd consider it. Promote Rodriguez, and hope Wallner returns to last year, or larnach is decent to good.... Otoh, if Lopez remembers who he is, this is a contender with a healthy Lewis...... In any event, given their budget constraints, I doubt they offer a QO.

    Put green beans and tomatoes in the ground today. Have two random potato plants coming. Harvesting peas like crazy. Need some wood to expand the raised beds so I can plant the zucchini.... We also did a lot of flowers this weekend.

    He's just wasting time in AA right now. I expect they will continue to hold him back though.... Likely mid June before he moves. I don't agree, but t what can you do....

    I'd prefer Emma at this point, but if not him, I'd be happy with Kiersey up. Anyone but Margot.

    I mean move Emma up already... I'd even be good if he skipped AAA. I'd consider Ohl to AAA at this point also. The best news was the health of Lee and Jenkins.

    I would drop both Priellip and Canterino from my list, given they show no signs of ever playing. I would likely drop Severino, and I was a believer last year.....hoping he turns it around.

    I wouldn't be opposed, but I kind of like some of the minor league guys right now.

    I mean, I'd put him at first when Lewis returns and dfa Santana..... But it isn't up to me. I think there is plenty of space for him here. Next year I'm hoping he and Julien play first with Lee at second.... But that's hope, not reality either.

    Soto is too high for me, but I get why others are excited. I like the pick, take a risk.... But my expectations are low, even if my hopes are high. Also, of likely only move him a few spots, so it's a rounding error. Keaschell is too low....

    One start in 6 or 7 where he's given up more than 2 runs, and people are worried? High bar.
