  1. Or they didn't want him because he's not been good.
  2. It was time to move on. Getting anything was amazing.
  3. I'm guessing it's not doubts, but constraints. Also, other than first and maybe catcher, who are you replacing before the year starts the last two years? I wouldn't be buyers this year. And they likely won't be. But they'll be sick in the same position next year, wondering if Royce is healthy, and Buxton, and CC, and looking for a first baseman and catcher. It's a vicious cycle right now.
  4. How many legit MLB starters would be deep for you? Do you think teams have more than six or seven legit starters in their system? What exactly are you expecting?
  5. I'm not surprised. Where did I even hint at that? I'm saying mediocre teams don't win by trading for players, or standing pat. I literally said nothing else. Read what you want, but I never said any of what you are implying.
  6. Can't throw a strike, and still gets the calls.....
  7. How has not trading worked for teams that stood pat? They didn't win either. I didn't only anything about future years at all. I made that last point in my post?
  8. Not adding players at the deadline doesn't usually work either..... That said, no way this team should deal any young player they believe in. It's a fine team, that could get lucky in the playoffs, but it's not a great team. Add in the budget constraints, and I see nothing happening unless they fall off a cliff and sell.
  9. I'd think about it, but probably not do it?
  10. He's been great in clutch situations. Of course, other hitters would have more RBI opportunities if he got on base in other situations.... But, given the other options, internal and external, he's been great.
  11. Sure. If they are down one, they now have the winning run on base.
  12. Of course he did. Sigh.
  13. Duran is the only one I'd want. Vanimal is likely close, but might need another player.
  14. Regressing to who you are isn't getting worse all the time ... Like Lewis regressing to himself would be much better than he's been.
  15. I could only wish they always give the Twins a free baserunner.
  16. I think they have an injured pitcher also ...
  17. No team does, as far as I can tell. Festa needs to be more efficient. But the MLB average is well under six innings, so I'm not expecting more than five.
  18. So defeatist. Anything can happen in short series. You don't sell with a winning record.
