  1. Here is a Brian Murphy column with extended quotes corroborating what I had suspected. Thank god at least one print writer in this market stepped up on this one. Here is the link if you are interested. http://www.twincities.com/2016/05/18/brian-murphy-twins-phil-hughes-needs-to-either-pitch-or-rest/
  2. Or the episode when Data got drunk, if that's your preference http://www.pagan-gerbil.net/images/blog/f4b5b1df90d7_7402/image.png
  3. I believe you. Yeah, that's what I really don't like about losses like this. MLB baseball players are living blessed existences, no need to feel sorry for them, and then, something like this happens.
  4. Close your eyes and hold your nose, and lots of things taste like chicken.
  5. You've got a subject/verb agreement problem there, my young gumshoe. Come back with a better story by next Tuesday.
  6. After everything with Molitor and Rosario yesterday, I literally cannot believe what I just saw.
  7. I have never seen anything like this in my entire life.
  8. The important thing is that he struggles against righties and lefties equally (Disclaimer: Joke made for game thread purposes only. Abad has had a fairly good season)
  9. I have a spiffy new Snark-o-Meter which I can loan you (in other words, it was a weak throw)
  10. Shall I activate my spiffy new Snark-o-Meter to read this post correctly?
  11. I'd rather see Sano and Polanco making those plays, but whatevs
  12. Great catch by Danny Santana. Now can we end the Jepsen experiment??
  13. I suppose he also drove her to Climax? (Climax is a town up near Fargo, people)
  14. I watched it again. You are right. The infield cutoff was almost standing on third base instead of deeper near to the plate, and the throw went over his head by plenty.
  15. The only problem is that the sac fly was medium deep near the left field foul line, not to right field or center. The throw to the plate came right through the area of third base. It would have been easily cut off and Rosario would have been an easy out.
  16. Watching the replay, Dick also seemed to compliment Rosario for doing what Plouffe did previously. We'll see if Dick spins it the other way now, pretends it never happened, or goes out on a limb and maintains that it was the heads up play. Probably the best option for him is B.
  17. At least Mastroianni was called up to sit the bench. wait, why is that good?
  18. Our record is 2-9 since Ryan "shook up" the roster with all those moves back on May 6.
  19. what about a base hit to an infielder?
  20. Rosario was having a bad game and it's almost like he wanted to make it up to the manager by making a smart, heads up play.
  21. Molitor has completely lost his ability to make good judgment. "Don't take the extra base." Give me a break. Somebody said it. If that had been Dozier or Mauer they would have been praised. As for your statement: "If the Twins are going to begin the transition to a roster of new young players, and take some lumps in the process, how about they at least instill a culture of aggressiveness while doing it." I really wonder if they want to make that transition. The Twins organization seems more interested in having quiet professionals and "quality guys" around, instead of guys who can win baseball games. Lots of people have joked about that the past few years but nothing is happening to disprove it.
  22. I don't mind players taking the Rochester shuttle, and Rosario needed to go, but I really don't like the way they are demoting players immediately after bad performances and then calling up guys to replace them who were free agents about 15 minutes ago. I can't believe this makes sense to guys like Kepler or Buxton, either.
  23. That was the justification for the demotion, yes. If he deserved to be demoted, he should have been demoted before that, correct?
