  1. But not forgotten, thanks! It was me--I was sitting on my phone or something.
  2. They still send him to the plate with a bat?
  3. MLB Gameday is telling me something good just happened
  4. MLB Gameday is telling me something bad just happened
  5. Perhaps you would like their newest brand offering, Coke Infinity Delicious?
  6. I always thought it was abandoning the cursive writing that brought it down, huh http://cdn.history.com/sites/2/2015/05/hungry-new-coke-AP_260821232821.jpg-E.jpeg
  7. For some reason (probably because it's funny? not sure) this reminded me of the scene in Naked Gun when Leslie Nielsen slides across the table with Queen Elizabeth, so I was going to post a jpeg of that photo....... but then I made the naive mistake of googling: "Naked gun queen elizabeth" uh oh http://basementrejects.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/naked-gun-from-the-files-of-police-squad-frank-drebin-tackles-queen-elizabeth-leslie-nielsen-jeannette-charles-review.jpg
  8. I really like how the Texas GM discusses it. Here is the link http://m.mlb.com/news/article/177892318/rangers-promote-no1-draft-pick-matt-bush Bottom line: they think he is a good pitcher and can help the team.
  9. I've been seeing shots in the dugout of Berrios and Ervin Santana together. Maybe that's a mentoring relationship, to leave in tact for a little while to see what comes of it. Santana is also the best of the three of Santana, Hughes, Nolasco.
  10. Agree completely, though perhaps we are safer talking about this* in the Simpsons thread: http://cigarcitymagazine.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/fat-tony-joe-mantegna.jpg *it's a joke, people
  11. Put May back into the rotation and for the love of Dog try to find playing time for Polanco. Another night, another night on the bench.
  12. not disagreeing with you necessarily, but at some point people need to start questioning and demand to see for themselves. Polanco can't play short, Sano can't play third, Plouffe can't move off of third, May can't start, Pelfrey can't pitch out of the bullpen, Meyer can't pitch at all, Pinto Herrmann and Fryer can't catch.... The list goes on as does the losing.
  13. Don't be a stranger.... You were probably my favorite poster when I was a lurker!
  14. I think the confusion comes when some people try to assign value to Plouffe, Abad, Nunez, or any other player individually, while other people just use blanket statements like "nobody on this team has any value except _____." At this point I happen to fall into the second category, because honestly, who would give up anything of value for any of our veterans? The veterans will need to be aggressively shopped and moved elsewhere before this thing gets better. Case in point: Polanco and Kepler aren't getting any playing time. Plouffe might be worth something (*might*) but why would another GM pick up the phone and offer Ryan anything of value for him? It starts with Ryan. Or Antony, or whoever.
  15. Is the game safely out of reach so that we can risk playing Polanco in the field?
  16. Molitor has options. He could play both Nunez and Polanco if he wanted to. 1. Move Rosario to center, Nunez to left, sit Santana. Polanco plays short. 2. Use Park as late inning PH (Baltimore closer is lefty), move someone else to DH, move Nunez around, Polanco plays short. 3. Rest Dozier, Polanco plays second.
  17. Re: the Housecleaning As stated on the other thread I somewhat disagree, but honestly there is not a single good argument to be made against it at this point.
  18. Polanco still on the bench today. Per baseballpress.com: 1. Joe Mauer (L) DH 2. Eduardo Nunez ® SS 3. Brian Dozier ® 2B 4. Trevor Plouffe ® 3B 5. Miguel Sano ® RF 6. Byung Ho Park ® 1B 7. Eddie Rosario (L) LF 8. Juan Centeno (L) C 9. Danny Santana (S) CF
  19. No excuse for Polanco not to start today. Nunez is a nice bench player but has shown to be mistake prone when given regular playing time. As long as Escobar is on the DL, Nunez should not be starting ahead of Polanco except in an unusual case.
