  1. So let's see if I got this right. Couple wants a wedding cake made. Cake guy refuses. Couple files complaint with commission against guy. Commission gets in cake guy's face. Cake guy sues commission. No one backs down. Supreme Court splits the baby in half, no one is happy. The end.
  2. Garver took a wicked foul ball directly into the knee in Saturday's game, so I endorse the rest. The game was tied at the point you mention, with the possibility of Garver playing extra innings. Plus, he's not hitting anyway. Plus, Doze and Eddie were due up in the 9th!
  3. Firing the hitting coach worked! When can we fire the next one?
  4. He's a good one. Also, watching a short-haired deGrom pitch to a skinny Kyle Schwarber is quite a reality check.
  5. Wasn't it more fun when he was bad, and you could go do something else for the night?
  6. Make one more good pitch, and you get 2-3 days to rest that knee, buddy
  7. I've pretty much reached the same conclusion the OP has reached.
  8. Sure, ... but it's good to look at this situation from another point of view
  9. That would be nice and long overdue, as are pitcher helmets
  10. A team with good starting pitching like this (tonight notwithstanding) shouldn't be sinking like an anchor in the standings
  11. How does it go off the rails like this. Injuries have hurt, but that can't explain all of it.
  12. the sound you hear, is people not going to Target Field in 2018
  13. actually those guys peaked/matured closer to age 27, when CarGo made the All Star game and Hicks OPSd .847. Buxton will arrive before that.
  14. Yep, he's untradeable. What if he figures out how to hit?
  15. When Buxton didn't attempt to steal off Hader in the Milwaukee game, it was understandable as that guy is a hard throwing lefty. Last night Buxton should have taken off. First pitch. Heck, first move. Buxton is fast enough, Herrera is a righty, not sure if he is good at holding runners, but the combination of a RHP, inexperienced first baseman, and Buxton's speed, he might have had a good chance to steal second even if Herrera's move is a pickoff attempt. Missed opportunity that probably wins the game if he makes it to second by simply makig the attempt.
  16. Also, it seems like the bullpen coach should be as data-driven as the rest of the coaches.
  17. Look, I know Buxton is struggling, but there's not much we fans can do. Obviously he is working on it. There's no way you'll ever be able to get back on the bandwagon when he gets good again, because I've purchased all the bandwagon seats. The core of these Royals teams had some really rough patches before putting it together in 204-2015. Moustakas 24 and 25 year old seasons were brutal. Gordon was rushed to the majors, struggled, and needed a position change. Etc. etc.
  18. hey here's a $20, go get me a beer before sales cut off please
  19. careful, we had a 12 run lead Saturday night...
