  1. Hopefully fully recovered, and another horse in our stable.
  2. And maybe without either of them on the team, wouldnt that be an accomplishment
  3. I was thinking , "When TWODOGS flies"
  4. I think it was all about the money invested, if they are paying him that much, they want him on the field, he is still the face of the franchise, at least thru this year.
  5. Well, you better like Molly, he chose Allan , as much as I like Big Train Willis, i am happy with the Allan choice.
  6. Why??!!! Who wears 7 now???
  7. Sounds reasonable, are you sure you belong in a Twins thread? JK everyone else
  8. Just keep winning, it will be on top eventually
  9. Well, they did get to the World Series, and I agree that younger, if everything else is equal, is probably better. But to say if we had 4 , 33 yr olds, that it would be the deathknell to getting to the playoffs, would be absurd, and i am not saying you said that, but someone basically said we couldnt win with 4 aging pitchers, and that is not extremely old.
  10. I will give you Navaretto and Silva as prospects, but they are 4 , 5 yrs away, and not even close to being sure things, Garver is proving , unless this yr is his abberation yr, that he is not a real prospect, I still am holding out hope that Stuart can be, but as much as we need a good defensive C , and Stuart is that, i would like a one with a little pop and a decent avg, if he could hit .250 i would be ecstatic.
  11. As far as catcher, who??? Turner??? Good defense , no bat, i suppose that can change, but as of now he is Butera with a little more sock to his hits.
  12. If you were going to do this, and we both know they are not, but wouldnt you just eat his salary, and then trade and maybe you could get a prospect, Mauer would be attractive at less than $5 M a yr.
  13. Not sure by playoffs if you mean they are just to random, or getting to World Series is just to random, but if it is the former , i disagree, playoffs are not random if things are done right, but after getting to the playoffs, the World Series is mostly random, look at how many Wild Card teams make it in......its about getting in and hoping you get HOT!
  14. You would be way under estimating Sanos cost over 10yrs, he would be at least $140 for 10 yrs........Yrs 1-3 total cost about $2M......Arb 1-$3M, Arb 2-$6M, Arb 3-$10M, and I think that is being conservative, plus 4 FA yrs at about $30M if he is what he could be........if we got Sano for $60M over 10 yrs, that would mean he didnt live up to expectations..................earlier in this thread i said I wouldnt trade Sano for Hamels, but if that is the only piece to lose to get a Hamels, I might do it.............with the caveat, that we are in first place and playing for a division title and not a wild card.
  15. I would guess this is ' Subject to change'.
  16. Have to remember their is 30 teams, X 2 = 60 players, so i would be inclined to say just 2 per ML team.
  17. Either 2 on each team max, or two max total, i dont remember, but there is a limit.
  18. If we are in the playoff picture come July, we will be buyers and not sellers, but if we fall out of the playoff picture, sure look at trading a Nolasco or Pelfrey, but if we fall out of the playoff picture, it will probably be because Pelf and Nolasco are not doing their job, and hence , NO VALUE
  19. Definitely not advocating trading Sano for Hamels, but as far as aging starters and not contending, ask SF Giants last yr how that went..........World Series starters: Hudson-39, Peavy-33, Bumgarner 25, Vogelsong-37............so it wouldnt be the end, just have to keep some in the pipeline.
  20. They are loose to wander aimlessly now!!
  21. That is why he shouldnt be out there, very catchable ball
  22. I think Plouffe's value is probably pretty good, especially with 2 plus yrs left of team control, and improved offense and defense.
  23. Wilson Ramos??!!! Oh yea, we already had him LOL, but wouldnt it have been nice to have him today??? And I dont know that is is considered top notch, but much better than what we have defensively and offensively.
