  1. I'm interested, obviously depending on the details. These series after the All Star break have been deflating, but the Twins still hold a wild card spot.
  2. well this team might be done
  3. What is going on with the outfield in this game?
  4. That's what I did every commercial, but I live in Iowa so I can't watch Twins games so it didn't matter as much if I missed part of a game.
  5. Nice hit. I have no idea what the 1st base coach was saying to him though
  6. That's the thing I didn't like about MLB.tv, same commercial every time.
  7. I haven't been on game threads much because I was coaching baseball and busy with farm stuff. I'm going to Boston tomorrow and can't wait to see Fenway Park for the first time on Saturday.
  8. Aaron Hicks had an OPS+ of 104 entering today
  9. I bet Polanco isn't there yet or something like that.
  10. MLB.com updated the Twins prospect list to include this year's draft picks and it looks like they switched some guys around too. Jay is #4, Cabbage #17, and Blankenhorn is #18. Hu stayed at #20 which is a little surprising. http://m.mlb.com/prospects/2015?list=min
  11. http://ih0.redbubble.net/image.69823114.3932/fc,550x550,white.jpg
  12. Turner is hitting .417 over his last 10 games and .318/.387/.424/.811 through 19 games in July.
  13. And Tulowitzki is signed through 2020 with a team option for '21.
  14. The Royals have given up 5 SP prospects for rentals of Zobrist and Cueto.
  15. I might prefer they stood pat at this point. Bring up some pitchers for bullpen help. Send Danny Santana down. I don't really want to trade prospects for a relief pitcher or backup catcher for this season unless they are extremely expendable. When I say stand pat, I don't mean keep the roster/lineup as it is. Someone else needs to be starting at SS. They can bring up Arcia or someone like Beresford if they think they need another infielder. Get pitching help from AAA. It is a bit deflating to me to see what it took to get Troy Tulowitzki and he's going to someone other than the Twins.
  16. The three minor leaguers were #3, #5, and #29 for the Blue Jays according to mlb.com's preseason rankings. Jeff Hoffman was the #69 prospect overall. I'd like to see the new update to see where these guys rank, whenever that's going to happen.
  17. If Vance Worley hadn't fallen off the face of the Earth with the Twins, then that trade would greatly favor the Twins.
  18. Definitely #3. Tulowitzki would have a larger impact on the team than Lucroy or Wieters and is also signed for longer. Lucroy is a higher risk than Tulowitzki in my opinion. The Twins would just have to replace Kyle Gibson.
  19. O'Rourke was brought in a few batters too late...
  20. I've been noticing Navarreto has been a lot better since the start of June. He might want to take a few more walks though
  21. Not going to be an ace, but I'm surprised that Taylor Rogers has been mentioned a handful of times in this thread while Tyler Duffey hasn't been mentioned at all. He is having a great year so far. He would come up to the majors before Berrios.
  22. Wasn't me who said it, but I doubt Polanco will be better than Tulo over the next three years. Polanco is a good hitter, but not near as good as Tulowitzki while I also doubt he will ever put up a season even close to anything Tulowitzki has. Plus he still has to go through the stage of proving himself in the majors. I only have the minor league reports to go off of, but it doesn't sound like he is as good of a defender either. Tulowitzki is a major upgrade over anyone we have.
  23. I agree with that. I just think that Tulowitzki could be a huge upgrade for the Twins and be better for this team than trading for a catcher. Trading for catchers also makes me nervous because of how easily they can be injured and have their production fall off (which is ironic when talking about Tulowitzki)
