  1. Kinda sad to see him go, but this probably needed to happen. Thanks for everything, Gardy. On a more serious note, I'm young, have managerial experience, read a book about sabrmetrics, and also took four years of Spanish in high school. I'm pretty qualified for the job, right?
  2. In my mind, if it is a 50/50 proposition that pitchers are going to have arm issues, then we are doing something wrong. Not just the Twins, but every team.
  3. If the Kernels make the playoffs, would tickets for those games cost about the same as regular season tickets?
  4. I am sorry for Joe Mauer. The guy is one of the best hitters in the league. He has three batting titles (only catcher in MLB history to ever do that), an MVP, 3 Gold Gloves, 5 Silver Sluggers, 6 All Star appearances, yet he isn't good enough because he doesn't hit 30+ homeruns, have 100+ RBIs or play in 162 games a year. To go along with that, I've never read anything about him not being a nice guy. It's not Mauer's fault that the Twins weren't spending money. It's not Mauer's fault that the team sucked. It's not Mauer's fault that he has been injured. We can't act like another team wouldn't have paid him $20 million+ a year if the Twins didn't resign him. The things people say about him are terrible. It's despicable really. Twins fans don't deserve Joe Mauer.
  5. I would like to see a space for the season standings so I don't have to go to ESPN to check them.
  6. I didn't realize he had been that good recently. Maybe they want him to consistently go 6 innings and give up 1 run or fewer?
  7. Brett Lee is now 8-2 with a 1.75 ERA. I'm not going to take the time to look at advanced stats, but that's pitching pretty well.
  8. This made my day. That looks like so much fun.
