  1. Tait been on a power heater lately he's gotta have like 7 homers in the past 11 or 12 games it's felt like that anyways wish he'd hit for a higher average but I'll take 14 homers in the 1st half of the season. My only thought on the saints is why isn't raya in the majors at this point I get his era still over 5 but he's been awesome after that tough start had his era at like 12
  2. 3. Somehow gray already been a worse SS in a few weeks then lee was up until he was moved to 3rd that it so insane and yet the twins refuse to call up Culpeper who at the least can be a average SS with a chance to be better while providing a lot of value with his bat & speed on the bases . Makes no sense he's still not up thought that was why lee moved off ss to free up a everyday role for Culpeper no teams should be rolling out Tristan gray as thier everyday ss especially when your top infield prospect currently had a almost 900 ops in AAA who's also has his best performances vs rehabbing mlb pitchers . Really no reason the twins shouldn't have both Culpeper and Jenkins up here by mid July assuming both are healthy and still playing well but really Culpeper should be starting at SS the next home stand I mean c'mon if he struggles you can always send him back down later it's clear the twins aren't very good why not get some exciting young hitters and arms up here to boost fan excitement and maybe they give them a boost from mid team to a real playoff threat . Twins might be the only team who rather waste abs on vets who are bad instead of prospects
  4. Poetic that it was Royce who tied the game & lee who hit the go ahead homer can't say I expected either to happen after the bullpen looked to sell another winnable game shoutout to the offense for picking the pen up . Morris locking it down with ease was great to see after his previous outings needed to see him right the ship . Hopefully they can now find a way to win the series this weekend baseball alot more fun when your favorite team at least has a chance to play meaningful games later in the season
  5. He's just not a good player if your ops is still in the low to mid 600s in june it's no longer a slump but just who you are . Sure he played well as a hitter as a rookie but since then teams have adjusted . Now even with him somewhat playing better he's now low batting average singles hitter . He's young so the hope is with more abs he continues to adjust and gets back to being a good hitter . Don't think twins are giving him a pass twins don't have many better options so he will play regularly. With Royce getting starts at 2nd recently I'd guess keashall starts getting more days off assuming Royce continue to play well
  6. Personally I'd just keep Clemens & gomez the others id trade for whatever same with over but controllable good players should be kept when you have no prospect ready to take those spots seems like bad business to move them for a minimal return when they can help the twins for multiple more years without blocking a top prospect
  7. Be cool if he got hot so they could at least get something for him at the deadline instead of just having to dfa him . His track record will afford him time before that's even a discussion we're still a while away from a dfa considering they haven't even moved him down in the lineup yet
  8. Be curious to see what twins get for him at the deadline think he's improved enough to warrant at least a decent return. Can't see him back again next year when his price will be a good amount higher . Unfortunate he's been regressing tho would of been nice for some of the other trade chips to be playing well so twins could maximize what's looking like another sell off deadline
  9. Marco raya starting to really look like a interesting pen option honestly just dfa the guy they got from pirates and get him up with the twins although I get wanting to slow play him with a few pitchers getting close now but he's gotta get a chance in the next month or so if he continues pitching great . The big league roster so depressing to watch these days I wish they'd just call up a prospect to at least make the loses interesting by having a top prospect in the lineup lol
  10. My uneducated guess would be another 10 -14 days of tearing up AAA pitching and he will be back in the majors has to continue hitting tho . Pretty sad that martin been so bad once he landed a starting job would of been nice if he ran with it it's now obvious that martin vs lefties & wallner vs righties is the best thing for both players which is fine until jenkins & e rod are healthy and ready for the mlb . Even with wallner coming back at some point think there's a real chance that by opening day next season he's no longer a twin either he's traded or non tendered only way he's not is if neither top prospect is in the mlb yet because of injury. Unfortunate because I thought after last year wallner figured some things out although Shelton playing him vs lefties this season certainly didn't help
  11. Be nice to get a little revenge and finish the sweep . With taj on the mound I like our chances also be nice for taj to have a long outing so the pen can be pretty fresh going into this last stretch of consecutive games without a off day . Good sign that alot of the slumping hitters starting to show some life . Maybe the wheels aren't yet falling off every time I expect them to pack it up they respond by a winning streak
  12. If your gonna dfa him then we expect bell to be given the same energy considering he's been terrible since hit hot start after that 1st few series he's been unplayable yet somehow still batting clean up consistently...
  13. I hope it passes tbh for no other reason then pohlads be forced to have a regular payroll instead of being able to slash it every off-season probably get them to sell the team quickly we can hope anyway
  14. Don't see a world where Culpeper isn't added to the 40 and on the twins in the next few months maybe they do it with jenkins since he's been hurt and his numbers weren't great pre injury so he could probably use more time in St Paul and probably needs to be a opening for him which isn't at the moment
  15. Mendez is a interesting prospect looks like a major league bat honestly wouldn't mind giving him the outman bench role it's probably time to dfa outman and get a prospect in as the 4th outfielder briefly thought outman was starting to turn in around enough to hold the job but lately even in the rare starts he's doing nothing but strikeout
  16. It's to bad he isn't a solid defender would be fun to have Gabby as the 4th outfielder but with outman being able to the cf was unlikely they'd move on without having someone who can do the same things as a pinch runner / defensive replacement. Definitely think Gabby will be back after the deadline or if they face any of injury
  17. Good to see royce hitting bombs again he will get another chance at some point doubt they rush him back because he's hitting AAA pitching for a week probably gonna take a month barring a injury to lee since he's playing 3rd . My question is what are they having him work on because that will be what he has to fix before twins call him back up my guess would be limiting the k's and using the whole field instead of only trying to hit homers like he's been doing this year . With lee playing 3rd I'm wondering if we see Culpeper in the mlb because we see royce again not to mention arcia & kriedler playing to well currently to rush Royce up after a few good games imo
  18. Unless they plan on giving jeffers the qo there's no way they can keep him because they aren't paying a catcher 12+ million when they already have caratini making 7 . He will have a good market assuming he returns and plays solid before the deadline . They should also be listening on Ryan unless they wanna pay him because the return will be worse next year . The martin trade makes zero sense tbh as for Buxton you keep him until he asks out which feels doubtful to happen unless the twins turn into the rockies . I'd wait on the demoted duo see if they can turn it around enough so you at least can get some type of value
  19. It's a little weird that he's never been given a chance but not shocking considering age & the high strikeout rate . This would be the year to do it but the fact every team passed in the rule 5 draft tells you other teams also didn't believe he could even be a 4th outfielder . Fact is he's probably the outfielder the twins believe in the least that's currently in St Paul . I'd just call him up at some point and see what he hits if he's bad you can always send him right back down but then you'd know he's a quad a player and could move on
  20. Don't really expect any hitting prospect to come up until after the deadline when I'm guessing larnach & bell are traded really no one else who's playing demotion bad left outside of maybe keashall but with his ops in the 600s can't see that happening although that can change with a bad week or 2 . I'm more interested to see what happens with the rotation when taj & mick return they should honestly keep rojas up in a reliever role but could see him and zebby both going down & just replace swr with prelip as the 5th starter
  21. Hope it's saboto who gets the nod for gray as good as fedko has been he's a of so makes less sense but I'd be happy either way both deserve a chance I'll just tell twins fans not to expect Culpeper no chance they add someone to the 40 for a few days long cup of coffee more likely to be someone already on the 40 and even then I'm not even confident whoever gets the call even gets more then a pinch hitter ab or 2 .
  22. Nah he's been rotating between catcher and dh . Twins seem confident he's a catcher long term
  23. Im just hoping after bell is traded at the deadline that they ball up sabato so we can finally see if he can provide any value as a former 1st rounder . Clemens beens the only option who currently playing above his expectations probably a key reason twins have went from few games over .500 to around 5 or so games under .500
  24. Mercedes is a obvious add to the 40 even if he falls back down to earth the tools alone make it a easy choice imo .
  25. Be one thing if wallner was going thru a slump at the plate but instead he's not only bad at the plate striking out over 40% of the time but the defense is some of the worst you've ever seen . Twins couldn't continue to play him at the mlb level shocked it took this long tbh figured he'd of been sent down weeks ago unfortunate that e rod is hurt would of felt so much better if he was the ball up I'd guess once he's healthy he will be the guy if Royce is the next guy demoted since then kriedler can play more at 3rd in that scenario even if Royce figures it out shouldn't be hard to get e rod up here once he's healthy . Feels good to know that twins are serious and will send a former top prospect to the minors should be a wake up call for Royce that he's heading on this same path if he don't figure it out
