  1. Hayes has already confirmed that Jeffers will not accept the qo so twins would be effectively giving it to him to not lose him for nothing assuming new cba don't take the option away . Personally think twins should consider extending Jeffers could always trade him later if you have to down the line . Twins ceiling is so much lower without Jeffers all due respect to caratini but he's not a great starting catcher if money is a issue they could easily clear off caratini contract that way there aren't paying both Jeffers & also paying caratini 7 million . Worry about how bad the offense could regress next year with no Jeffers
  2. Honestly I appreciate how lee accepted the move and didn't pout about a in season move . He's been pretty great at 3rd I'll be interested to see what the numbers end up over a full season I mean it was pretty clear last year that he didn't have the range to play SS which is fine especially when they have culpepper and eventually Houston to play SS . Personally I'd keep lee at 3rd going forward and eventually play culpepper at 2nd when Houston in ready late next year . While lee bat isn't perfect a what should be close to 3 war season is a win assuming offense continues to improve gotta think he can be worth about 4-5 war now that he don't have SS defense dragging it down .
  3. Honestly wouldn't be shocked if Royce is traded this off-season while in theory there's offense in there but reality is after his few weeks hot streak after the recall he's been bad again and hasn't been much better at 1st then he was at 3rd this year . Maybe they keep him if they can't find a upgrade for everyday 1st basemen but feels like a easy fix always multiple vets available for pretty cheap . Disagree on lee he's been one of our best hitters this season and has earned his everyday role going forward I don't really care what the expected numbers say at this point he's sustained this all year so I'm gonna assume he's gonna be a guy those stats don't like but remains a quality player especially when the defense is no longer terrible. Overall I agree with the list I think there will be a better option at cleanup hitter since I'm assuming there will be a cap floor next season so gotta think twins will be adding a top of the order bat I might even just put Jenkins in that spot . E rod has to come up on Tuesday need to get a look at his the rest this season that way next year isn't his first chances against MLB pitching since he will be out of options
  4. It should be a wrap on his time here after the season. Which is why they should of moved him at the deadline instead of losing him for nothing I mean Rockies got something for a outfielder with a 500 ops you can't convince me twins had no offers for larnach should of created a spot for e rod or jenkins instead of praying that the hot 1st continued when evidence showed it was unlikely. Not sure any team offers even a low level prospect for him this winter with him being due for another raise in arb . Easy non tender but thought it was just as easy last off-season so who knows twins always make head scratching moves . Hopefully they give e rod a shot in September be nice to see what he can do that way next year not his 1st time facing mlb pitching
  5. All due respect but how the hell is young listed here ? Ops in the 600s & striking out I believe close to 40% of the time ? Not to mention 30+ errors I'm sorry but 14 homeruns isn't enough to outweigh all the bad in his game currently. Ben ross should be in his spot imo if I'm being honest I don't think young is even a top 40 prospect anymore until he gets the k rate to a respectable level for a power hitter or starts hitting 30 homers a year to make up for the lack of every other aspect of the game. Honestly twins should be considering demoting him be clearly wasn't ready to play in low A yet which is tough for a pretty early draft pick again hopefully he turns it around but feel like he's on the list simply because of where he was drafted at this point
  6. Feel like tinney ends the year in high A probably didn't wanna promote 2 catchers at the same time with Tait also at high A my guess is they hope Tait gets hot enough to warrant a promotion then call up tinney in a week
  7. Get Jenkins to the mlb ASAP I do not care about a draft pick they might get if he wins roty next season simply because with his injury History feels unlikely to win it also pretty sure he can maintain the rookie eligibility at this point so can't be twins wanting to not burn a year of control. That's if there's even a season next year . But they can easily get him everyday and he could definitely help them get back in the playoffs just like culpepper has helped . Way twins are going if they wait until September they may already be to far back to make the playoffs without a crazy win streak that's why they should get him up now imo . Could easily dfa Jackson to free up a spot for Jenkins even tho I know twins love to waste a roster spot on a guy who don't contribute lmao
  8. We will definitely be seeing rojas as a September call up as long as he's healthy . Not sure why it took so long to decide to stretch him out as a starter should of been the plan a while ago simply because a starter is more valuable then a long reliever especially now that the twins have 5 reliable arms in the pen . Honestly could see 2 of these 3 being key pieces down the stretch .
  9. Once a actual cf joins the roster yeah but currently he's the best option in center moving him now just makes the defense worse . Once Jenkins is up I'd move buck to the corner but that's looking like a next season thing imo
  10. Definitely real people saying this same thing LMAO the locked on twins host from last year been pushing this since twins drafted lackey .
  11. Unfortunate that Jeffers and Buck did nothing with culpepper setting them up with a great ab could of been the hero instead was wasted but even with the loss good to see culpepper have good abs he's looked pretty good so far looks like a future top of the lineup hitter . That infield going forward looking pretty good especially once Houston comes up in a year or so . If we could get some young outfielders up here playing well twins could be a problem in the al going forward
  12. Day later he's back on the mlb roster lol twins love rostering a player who gets 1 start every 10 days effectively a waste of a roster spot . Been from outman to gray and now jackson who I actually think should be the backup catcher over caratini but he's making to much to just sit on the bench in hindsight probably should of used that money on pitching last off-season
  13. That kriedler super fan about to crash out when he finds this article lol but I agree it's time to get some young guys up here not sure who id cut loose but definitely wanna see Emma and rojas up here not sure they bring jenkins up here they seem adamant on keeping him eligible to play minor league games next year in case we get a extended lockout . Maybe it's also keeping him eligible for the added 1st in case he somehow wins roty next year not sure the exact rules . Honestly pretty surprised that Rogers is still on the roster figured he'd of been switched with a better arm from St Paul but who knows maybe they promised him not to dfa him for him signing here or something lol
  14. Twins might never buy at a deadline again the way they have collapsed . Pretty pathetic that they couldn't hold a 5-0 lead but I guess we will see if this is when they fully fold or do they somehow get back in the wild card conversation.
  15. Glad he's back hopefully he can get going at the plate and praying the hip isn't a issue and they aren't just rushing him back just to have it flair up in a week like last time . Gotta think they finally punt on rostering 3 healthy catchers although it's risky feel like Jackson is a guy the Yankees will claim which is why it's confusing why they didn't trade one of the catchers to at least get something in return instead of potentially losing one for nothing
  16. Twins need to either stretch rojas out to a starter or if not then dfa rogers and get Rojas in the pen as that last lefty . Id say raya to but the numbers lately aren't the best for him since that il stint so he may not be fully ready yet . Point is it's time to swap out Adams & rogers didn't matter tonight but neither is very effective lately . Shoutout to Kramer & the offense for building a lead they couldn't blow gonna need another big offense performance tomorrow with ober on the mound although top pen arms will be rested in case ober can't give them more then 5 innings of good ball
  17. Still a little to much outfielder depth probably eventually gonna have to move from that depth to address other areas of need more so AAA wise . Really the main thing going forward will be building up some starting pitching tho they did add a few pitchers in the draft that could see being top 10 ish prospects in the future
  18. Twins really have no idea what to do with rojas ... Has the stuff of a top of the rotation arm but yeah let's pitch him 3 innings every 4 days instead of either turning him to a high leverage reliever or a starter . Personally think they should be stretching him out as a starter to plan for a injury or a starter bring ineffective down the stretch if he was gonna be doing this he should be in the twins bullpen imo
  19. Good to see him finally be rewarded I'd guess Jenkins will be following him in the next few weeks great to finally gets some more juice in the lineup. I'm guessing we see Houston head to St Paul now that theres a ss job available for him . Congratulations to the kid it's a well deserved promotion
  20. Brooks love to step up to the plate with a chance to turn a loss into a win . Maybe saved the season but we'll see if they can stack some wins going forward. Honestly they should get some help from st Paul they clearly need more offense jenkins clearly ready although doubt it happens until they can get away with keeping his rookie status in place for next year on the off chance he wins roty I believe that's coming up in the next week or so feels like if they didn't care about burning a year of service time he'd already of been in the majors we'll see if twins can hold on that long without losing to much ground in the standings
  21. Alright man time to wake up and call up someone who can provide value no reason gray or Jackson should be on the roster pretty wild they didn't move Jackson the moment they decided to keep Jeffers really stupid roster Management to roster 3 catchers while your top 2 catchers are healthy . Bullpen being improved won't matter if your scoring only a few runs a game .
  22. Giving up dason hill for a okay reliever certainly a choice but I guess to zoll it don't matter because if twins flame out down the stretch he's probably getting replaced after the lockout . Always possible hill flames out but struggling to see a scenario where he's not at minimum a high leverage reliever . Be interesting to look back in 5 years on this one certainly feel like it's gonna be looked at as a whiff he'd have to he elite for the next few seasons for this trade to even feel close to worth it . Maybe I'm to high on hill think he's worst case a quality 5th starter with a real path to being top of the rotation assuming Toronto can rein in the command hopefully I'll be wrong and it's a twins fleece but yikes so many better options if you were trading your best pitching prospect would of wanted a younger arm who's not already showing signs of regression
  23. E rod this weeks away I don't think he completes his rehab and come to the majors think they get him in 5-7 games at St Paul before it's a possibility but he'd also have to play well . Hopefully he does play well because man martin has fallen off a cliff production wise and roden really providing nothing besides a occasional single looks more and more like a quad A player . Personally I'd keep kriedler at SS until culpepper comes to the majors gray is to bad to be playing at SS which they'd have to do atm if kriedler played cf it's why it's so weird they didn't just call up Jenkins to play center hopefully buck don't miss to long offense pretty suspect without him
  24. Solid move would of rather a strikeout artist since that's what pen is missing but getting a reliable pen arm for 2 low level prospects is solid work hopefully they add a reliever that has high strikeout stuff tho . Also think they should add a infielder preferably that can hit lefties that way can give other guys days off vs lefties instead of playing them because we got no other option
  25. Called up the saints worst hitter lmao if being on the 40 is today's excuse for refusing to call up a good player fedko and wallner on the 40 and both actually playing well enough to earn the call up . Laughable that gray played terrible since the demotion and he's back in the majors
