  1. His adopt a prospect page points out that his BA has greatly improved over the last month though the power is still not there. He is 19. He is still growing into his manhood so to speak power wise.

  4. So what stats are you looking at to back up this comment? I don't get the Milone bashing. He has a history of getting good results...
  5. This http://www.pittsburghpanthers.com/sports/m-basebl/spec-rel/061015aac.html stated that Condeelis was a Senior... This http://www.pittsburghpanthers.com/sports/m-basebl/mtt/rich_condeelis_923451.html Clearly shows he has another year of eligibility. Thanks for the correction Jeremy
  6. Hey Jeremy, I have not seen you or Bob say anything about Condeelis... What's the story there? He's the only College Senior not signed isn't he?
  7. Twins transaction page now says Jay and Robinson are officially signed. MLB trade rumours now says Cabbage is signed.
  8. 12th round pick Zander Wiel hits game winning HR vs TCU.

  10. I personally like the idea of turning him into a loogy. I also agree that the Twins blew it on Gilmartin. There were definitely others I would have let go before exposing him.
  11. Hopefully he's bringing his team mate Lamonte Wade
  12. I'm still hearing the crickets as we await signings so here's some food for thought... College Seniors likelier to be signed: 36) Rich Condeelis RHP 34) Brian Olson C 32) Andrew Vasquez LHP 29) Brad Hartong C 23) Alex Perez SS 21) Kamran Young OF 18) Daniel Kihle OF 17) Nate Gercken RHP 15) Anthony McIver LHP 14) AJ Murray C 6) Chris Paul OF If these guys are not signed, they don't want to play pro ball or WE don't want them to play pro ball.
  13. People, let's be a little less obsessed with speed of the fastball when talking about strike outs. MLB hitters can hit a 99, 100, 101 MPH fastball that's grooved. Location, changing speed, movement, and unpredictability lead to strikeouts. A good fastball can help for sure but it is not the key factor. My questions would be, what is he working on, how much progress is he making on that, and what's next? Worried? A little yes, but we drafted a HS prospect pitcher. How old is he? Ok, were still fine...
  14. 1-3 plus a walk. 2 K's, 2 SB, and an RBI on his one hit... A triple
  15. At this time of year, I am always anxious to begin hearing these guys are signed. Which ones will be signed and which ones will end up signed with someone else 2-4 years from now? Time will tell. I have not seen anything on TD yet to track them so Here is a place we can track that. Below I have the draft picks. As we hear that they are signed, lets share here and I will edit this list with *Signed* after their names. Lets include signing bonuses if we hear them. 1 (6) -- Tyler Jay, LHP, Illinois CB B (73) -- Kyle Cody, RHP, Kentucky 3 (80) -- Travis Blankenhorn, 3B, Pottsville (Penn.) Area High School 4 (110) -- Trey Cabbage, 3B, Grainger High School (Rutledge, 5 (140) -- Alex Robinson, LHP, Maryland 6 (170) -- Christopher Paul, RF, UC Berkeley 7 (200) -- Jovani Moran, LHP, Carlos Beltran Baseball Academy (Puerto Rico) 8 (230) -- Kolton Kendrick, 1B, Oak Forest Academy (Amite City, La.) 9 (260) -- LaMonte Wade, CF, Maryland 10 (290) -- Sean Miller, SS, USC Aiken 11 (320) -- Kerby Camacho, C, Carlos Beltran Baseball Academy (Puerto Rico) 12 (350) -- Zander Wiel, 1B, Vanderbilt 13 (380) -- Cody Stashak, RHP, St. Johns 14 (410) -- A.J. 16. Id like to hear Radcliffe or Ryan talk about what they see and need to see. Has Mientkewizc said anything publicly like he did Polanco?
  17. Find a team flush with catching prospects and short on MI/Shortstop and trade them Santana and Nunez for their 3rd best catching prospect. Keep Polanco in the majors. Trade either Vargas or Arcia and bring up Buxton and Sano when we DFA Stauffer. When Berrios is ready or E. Santana comes back, trade Pelfrey for best offer. I think he's a mirage and he's on last year of contract.
  18. I brought the whole topic up because we are not only able to enjoy this season but next years Roster crunch is filled with a lot of future joy too. This isnt the 91 team built for win now. Its built for win now AND for several years to come. This isnt a topic of negativity, it is one of growing enthusiasm and excitement!
  19. Minus two catchers (Suzuki and ?) heres next years hitters... Sano Plouffe Dozier Mauer Polanco (Mientkiewicz says hes the most ready for the show of all AA current roster) Hicks Buxton Rosario Hunter (I think hes resigned for one more last swan song if we dont win the WS) which leaves room for 1-2 of the following: Santana Escobar Nunez Schafer Arcia Vargas Robinson Walker
  20. Here is my simple reason why I don't think Pelfrey Will be resigned... Santana Hughes Nolasco May Gibson Berrios Meyer (has too figure it out or he's in MLB Bullpen next year) Milone (still cheap to keep but I think he's trade bait)
  21. I am excited about the future AND current team, that's part of the reason for the question! We have a good team looking at still improving even as the year goes by. Here we are leading a division, thinking playoffs and poking holes in the team and yearning for Sano, Buxton, Polanco, Berrios, etc and hoping Meyers, Gonsalves, etc pan out as well. My guesses, 17 will reappear next year, 11-12 the year after. I am also guessing that approximately 22-23 of the players we see by the end of the year will reappear next year and17-18 appearing also in 2017. That's exciting to me!
  22. Examining our 25 man roster, I see a lot of "placeholders" on a playoff, division contending team. This raised a question in my mind Two part question here, how many Twins that have played for the MLB Twins team this year will be a part of the 2016 25 man roster at any point? How about 2017? I pose the question this way because we have Nolasco/Arcia/Etc currently not on the 25 man roster with significant experience this year that will be around...maybe... Time to dig deep into your combined knowledge of upcoming MiLB players and MLB roster opinions.
  23. Was there ever an explanation for the long layoff? Was there a minor injury that affected him?
  24. You had me until June 18th... The in laws 60th anniversary. I'm unfortunately busy.
  25. I was thinking we'd eventually need that 40 man spot for a much bigger name prospect...Buxton maybe?
